Dorothy added, "You're suspecting a mole to be helping the enemy, but I doubt the mole is from our team. Our staff might know the Acker family's whereabouts, but that was only after their arrival. Besides, the Acker family arrived here just not long ago." Charlie thought of the blocked signal and asked, "Did any staff come to this floor during the day? Could they have snuck in a small shielding device?"

Dorothy frowned. "We only paid attention to the stage and backstage in the morning. We didn't pay much attention to the VIP area. I can't be sure, but you can check the surveillance video of the VIP area."

Then she added, "As I said earlier, Quinn and I didn't tell anyone about this. Even if someone came in the day to install the shielding device, they wouldn't know which room to install it. Besides, there are more than twenty rooms here. Did they install it in every room?" Charlie walked into several rooms near the corridor with his phone and found that the signal in these rooms wasn't affected in any way.

It did not seem like the staff had installed it in advance.

Charlie frowned harder as he racked his brain over this conundrum. He felt like he had run into a dead end.

Judging from the situation objectively, someone must have helped them. It was why Charlie realized that this could happen because of the insider's cooperation.

On the other hand, Quinn and Dorothy had a strong sense of secrecy. There was no leak from the source, so that was unlikely the problem here.

Charlie wished he could understand more about this incident.

He began to think. If the enemy's goal was to kill the Acker family, then they could've brought it a small bomb if they were able to sneak in a shielding device.

If they did send in a small bomb, they could have solved everything easily. Why bother blocking the signal first before rushing in and killing the Ackers? But judging from Christian's feedback earlier, there truly was a shielding device present.

All the contradicting evidence seemed like a paradox to Charlie. Every speculation he made didn't quite hold up. His mind confused, Charlie was at a loss. But at this befuddling moment, a sudden thought suddenly flashed in his mind.

He thought to himself, 'The shielding device... Could it be that someone from the Acker family actually brought it in?"

Previously, Charlie wondered if there

might be a mole in the Acker family.

It shouldn't be anyone present,

rather, it was probably someone who was absent. For example, the uncle-in-law whom Charlie had never met before, or one of thenoveldrama

grandchildren who were absent.

A foreboding feeling struck Charlie.

Thinking of this, he immediately said to Kathleen, "Miss Fox, please send your most trusted men to my grandparents room and have a look inside there: Please find where the

shielding device is located. Also

check if the device is with

somebody. However, try not to reveal our intentions immediately. Closely monitor everyone's reaction after entering the room. Then, demand to search their personal belongings. If someone reacts strangely, restrain them at once."

Kathleen replied, "I have Master Yant guarding downstairs. He's also with several bodyguards whom he personally trained. They're all very trustworthy." "Okay," Charlie said with a nod. "We'll have Master Yant carry this out."
