Chapter 0979
Sebastian was at a loss for words.
What followed was Madison’s live commentary on the food. She gushed, “Oh my gosh! This is really delicious! The sauce is a little spicy, but it’s not too overwhelming. It’s the fragrant
kind, paired with pepper and onions. This is absolutely heavenly!
“The pancake is so fluffy, and there’s even a crispy layer inside when I bite into it. It’s delightfully crunchy… Miranda, where did you get this?”
Miranda answered, “I made it myself.”
Madison was completely floored. Was there anything else that Miranda could do that she didn’t know about?
“Miranda, I honestly think you should cook more often in the lab. That would only do justice to all the new pots and pans you bought,” Madison said earnestly, as if she was discussing serious academic matters.
Sebastian remarked coolly, “Your true intentions are showing clearly.”
“Shut up!”
Sebastian fell silent immediately as Madison continued, “Miranda, I’ll go buy a bag of flour and put it in the lab’s pantry tomorrow. Oh, and I’ll get an electric griddle too.”
Her little scheme was as clear as day.
Miranda gave her an affectionate smile. “Alright.”
“Yes!” Madison cheered. Her goal was achieved once again!
She finished up her portion of the savory pancake, and down the milk in a few gulps. Then, she sidled up to Sebastian with a playful grin. “Seb, why aren’t you saying anything? Is the pancake good?”
Sebastian nodded.
“Why are you eating so slowly? Are you,not hungry? It’s okay, I’ll help you finish…” With that, she reached out her hand.
Before she could grab a piece, Sebastian anticipated her move and leaned back to dodge her.” What are you doing? Trying to steal my food?” noveldrama
Madison cleared her throat awkwardly. “You’re so bad at phrasing things. What do you mean by stealing? I’m just being considerate and helping you finish what you can’t!”
“Well, thank you, but there’s no need. I can finish it myself.” Sebastian feigned a smirk and polished off the rest of the pancake in just a few bites.
Initially, Madison was stunned. Then, she snorted in exasperation.

What a stingy man! He couldn’t even spare her a bite of the pancake! Madison pouted, her cheeks puffing up like a balloon.
Suddenly, a hand appeared in front of her, holding a lunch bag. Sebastian spoke, “Here, I saved two pieces for you.”
Madison was both surprised and delighted.
After their morning classes, the trio headed to the cafeteria.
Madison glanced at her WhatsApp messages. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. jumping for joy. “Miranda, Joli said his PhD application was successful!”
She was practically
“Is the results out so soon?” Sebastian asked.
“The official announcement might not be until next month, but Dr. Young probably already told him in advance,” Miranda explained.
Madison nodded. “Since he’s applying to Dr. Young’s own doctoral program within the same college, it’s normal that he found out about the results early. He said he’s treating us to dinner tonight. You two want in?
Miranda and Sebastian both agreed.
Madison immediately replied to Joli’s message while walking, texting as she went. Sebastian coolly reminded her, “Watch where you’re going.”
“Holy–There’s bad news as well. Do you want to hear it?” Madison gasped and looked up at the two of them.
“What bad news?”
“According to the latest updates, the team from our college lost again in the competition for the biology division in this year’s nternational Academic Exchange Conference…”
Miranda and Sebastian exchanged a glance while Madison continued, “And we lost to Riddleston and Harbener. We didn’t even make it into the top three…
“Why is the biology division always so unlucky? We had four consecutive losses to Riddleston, including this year. Those little… uh! They sure are living too comfortably…”
It looked like the college administration was going to have a tough time dealing with this.
