Chapter 149
Chapter 149
Lorraine didn’t have time to waste on Luke. Finnegan’s straightforward plan to hit Luke where it hurt was perfect.
Just then, her phone rang. It was Logan.
She answered it quickly and said, “Hey, Logan.”
“Lorraine, where are you and the kids? You’re not at the apartment?”
“We’re about to go out for dinner. What’s wrong? You sound a bit upset. Did your sister tell you something?” Lorraine guessed Jenny had spilled the beans and was surprised by how quickly Logan had called.
Logan fell silent briefly before speaking, “Jenny said she wants to join you for dinner. Did you run into Luke?”
“Yeah, at the supermarket.”
“Do you really have to have dinner with him?” Logan knew about their plan. Even though it was Finnegan’s idea to mess with Luke, he couldn’t help feeling a bit irritated.
The thought of his wife and kids dining with her ex made him jealous.
He had a strong possessive streak. Lorraine was his wife, and he didn’t want to share any part of her with anyone.
“Your son said you taught them to hit the enemy where it hurts and make them scared.”
Logan was momentarily speechless.
Finnegan was indeed a quick learner. He knew how to apply his lessons on strategy so adeptly at such a young age.
Lorraine grinned. “Logan, are you jealous?”
“How can I not be jealous when my wife and kids are having dinner with my rival?”
“Why don’t you join us? We can show off our happy family right in front of him. Imagine his frustration, spending money on us while we flaunt our love and unity. Isn’t that the best way to get back at him?”
Logan chuckled. “Raine, I know why you fell for me at first sight. They say birds of a feather flock together, and we’re definitely cut from the same cloth.”
“Stop flattering yourself. I wasn’t wearing my glasses and mistook

you for someone else.”
“I’m just keeping you grounded. Overindulgence in self–love isn’t good. If you can make it over, I’ll send you the location once Finnegan picks a restaurant. I can’t wait to see Luke’s face when he realizes he’s been tricked.”
Logan pondered briefly and said, “Send me the location later. I’ll do my best to get there and help with the show.”
Lorraine laughed. “Alright.”
After hanging up, Logan instructed the driver, “Speed up.”
He wanted to arrive early and leave early.
After greeting and exchanging a few words with Donald, he could find an excuse to leave. Anyway, Jacob was present. He could also represent the Moores. Networking and business negotiations were important, but his wife was even more so!
The driver sped up. Soon, they arrived at the Jenkins residence.
Jacob and Sonia had arrived earlier as they skipped dinner to be there. Knowing Sonia’s fondness for food, Jacob sneaked off to a corner with his foodie secretary and began their feast after greeting the Jenkinses. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
