Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 667

Chapter 667

"Why did I fall asleep?" Hera's gaze was filled with confusion. Her neck ached as she moved, so she turned her head from side to side.

She then told Johnson, "Your chair sucks. It's too easy to get a stiff neck."

Johnson felt wronged but merely said, "I'll ask someone to buy a new chair."

"Let me help you massage it." Bernard felt slightly guilty and placed his hands on her shoulders. He then asked tentatively, "Do you remember anything?"

Hera pondered about it. Aside from the images of her playing with Bernard when they were children, she couldn't remember anything else. Did the hypnosis fail?

She shook her head. That made Bernard sigh in relief. "Are you hungry? Let's go and have dinner."

"Sure," Hera answered. She noticed that only Johnson remained in the clinic, and there was no sign of Felix. Hence, she asked Johnson, "Where's your tutor?"

"Something came up, so he had to leave first," Johnson replied.

Hera found it somewhat strange. While leaving the clinic, she kept feeling as if she had forgotten something, but nothing came to mind.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

"What's on your mind?" Bernard helped fasten the seatbelt for Hera. Seeing how she seemed to be in a daze, he felt a little uneasy.

"Nothing." Hera came back to her senses. "What are we having? I'm starving."

"Hang on. We're almost there," Bernard said while driving.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the entrance to the amusement park that had gone viral online. Two bodyguards stood at the park entrance.

Many people were there, but they weren't permitted to enter.

"What's going on? We clearly booked our tickets ahead of time. How could they be canceled just like that?"

"We're so unlucky. It's our first date, but the place ended up being unavailable."

"I heard that someone booked out the entire place."

"The person must be very influential to have secured the entire place."

"I'm so jealous. I wonder which lucky woman is going to enjoy this entire amusement park."

"I think that woman lives a very blissful life."

The crowd who remained at the entrance continued gossiping.

Meanwhile, Yvette got out of the car. Hearing the passersby's speculations made her hold onto Frederick's arm with a shy smile. "Freddy, you're too good to me."

"You like Ferris wheels but don't enjoy crowded places. So, I booked out the entire amusement park so that I can give you everything that you like," Frederick said with a smile, seeming like a gentleman.

"You're so considerate." Yvette clung tightly to his arm before resting her face against his shoulder. They looked like a pair of lovebirds.

While heading toward the amusement park, they happened to see the bodyguards blocking Bernard and Hera from entering.

"My apologies. Someone already booked out the entire place, so outsiders can't enter. All previously booked tickets will be compensated three times the price," the bodyguard explained.

Hera lifted an eyebrow before gazing at Bernard in astonishment. She then teased, "Someone actually dares to

cancel Mr. Killian's tickets!"

Bernard remained silent as it was his first time encountering such a situation. Douglas had booked the tickets at the last minute under his own name. Thus, he gave Douglas a call to handle the situation.

Frederick couldn't help but feel delighted to see this. He finally got the upper hand on Bernard.

"What a coincidence to see you two here, Uncle Bernard," Frederick intentionally said while stepping forward.

Bernard icily looked at him.

"It's too bad that I've reserved the entire amusement park. After all, Yvette doesn't like crowds, so it would be inconvenient to let you two in," Frederick said regretfully.

He then changed his tune, saying, "But if you beg me, Yvette and I can consider giving you entry."
