You killed my child
Letta then looked at Marco before finally smiling reassuringly at her husband. She reached out her hand and stroked Marco’s strong jaw.
“Sorry for making you worried,” Letta said, causing Marco to let out a long sigh before sitting right next to Letta.
“Yes, I will always be worried if I see you like that. I’m afraid you might feel something very painful, and I can’t do anything about it,” Marco said, making Letta shake her head.
“Again, I apologize. I promise not to force myself again to remember anything I have forgotten,” Letta said, making Marco nod.
“Alright, then I’m done with the prescription, but your face looks pale. Do you want me to get you something, maybe before we head back home?” Marco asked, making Letta nod her head.
“Yes, I think I need a drink,” Letta replied, making Marco nod his head.
“In that case, wait here. I’ll get you something to drink. Remember, don’t go anywhere, and don’t dwell on anything strange,” Marco said, making Letta smile.
“Yes, I will follow your advice,” Letta replied, making Marco leave Letta sitting in the waiting room. Letta just stared at the tips of the shoes she was wearing. It seemed that if Letta looked around, she was afraid that the shadows from earlier would reappear in her mind. Letta seemed still unprepared to accept it. So, Letta wouldn’t force herself as she had promised Marco.
Suddenly, as Letta wiggled her feet, she saw another pair of shoes now in front of her. Letta stopped her movements. After that, she slowly began to look up and gaze at a woman who was staring at her with an expression that was hard to interpret. The woman gazed straight at her, but showed no expression whatsoever. It seemed she was still wearing the hospital’s patient gown.
“Can I help you with something?” Letta asked the patient who now stood in front of her. However, the patient remained still, making Letta look around. Perhaps she was unwell and there was no nurse attending to her.
“Do you need my help?” Letta asked again cautiously, making the woman immediately change her expression. Her eyes began to well up, but not only that, Letta could see her hands clenched as if she was holding back the anger within her.
“You,” said the middle-aged woman in front of her still wearing the patient’s gown, making Letta furrow her brow.
“Yes, me? Why? Do you want me to do something?” Letta asked again, making the woman raise her hand. After that, she pointed at Letta’s face.
“I want you to vanish from this world,” she said again, causing Letta to widen her eyes. The next moment, the mother reached out both of her hands and tightly choked Letta’s neck. Startled, Letta could only restrain the mother’s wrists.
“You killed my child! You’re truly a devilish woman who doesn’t know gratitude. You easily took away the life of my only son,” uttered the middle-aged mother, making Letta shake her head. Letta could feel her breath becoming constricted, and her neck started to ache. She was truly being strangled and began to cough. However, the mother seemed to have no intention of loosening her grip.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
“You also have to pay for my child’s death. Life for a life. You must vanish and feel the suffering that I have felt all this time. You killed him and then disappeared. Truly the cruelest woman in this world,” the mother yelled, making Letta unable to understand what she was saying, as her ears began to ring.
Letta truly felt her body weakening. Her vision started to blur, as people around her screamed. Only then did Letta feel a jolt in her body when the nurses seemed to start to separate the mother. However, Letta didn’t know where the strength of the mother came from that was choking her so strongly. Even the two nurses who were now trying to release her didn’t help at all.
They really just needed to breathe. Letta needed oxygen, but the mother seemed truly determined to kill her, until the grip loosened when Marco intercepted the mother and pushed her away. The two nurses were pushed as well. Letta automatically started to cough while holding her neck.
“What’s going on here?” Marco asked, glaring angrily at the nurses and the mother. Marco then looked at Letta, who was still coughing.
“Darling, are you okay?” Marco asked, and the next moment, Marco widened his eyes when he saw Letta’s neck turning blue due to the strangulation by the unknown woman. Marco immediately opened the bottled water he had, helping Letta to sip it slowly. Although Letta still seemed to be in distress, the choking was indeed not a joke. Seeing his wife’s bruised neck, Marco immediately looked back at the mother who was still struggling to lunge at his wife.
“How could you release a mentally ill person like her?” Marco said, making the nurses bow their heads.
“I’m sorry, sir. This mother is indeed under our care, but she’s not crazy. She’s just under the influence of medication,” the nurse said, making Marco clench his jaw.
“You say she’s not crazy. How could a sane person choke someone like this? Look! Are you going to take responsibility for my wife? What if something bad happens to her?” Marco retorted, making them just bow their heads. Marco felt they also accepted their fault for neglecting to supervise a patient who was indeed under the influence of medication.
Marco then looked at Letta, who was still holding her neck, which was really painful. Eventually, one of the doctors approached Marco. Of course, Marco couldn’t let this case go just like that, especially with what happened to his wife.
“What’s going on? What’s the commotion about?” the doctor asked, making Marco about to answer when the middle-aged woman immediately headed back towards Letta.
“She killed my child, she must die! She must vanish from this world! She’s a devilish woman who can’t be left alone!” the mother shouted, leaving Letta speechless. Naturally, Letta was extremely shocked by her accusatory words, prompting Marco to immediately embrace his wife.
“I didn’t know that this hospital also accommodates crazy people like her,” Marco said, making the doctor walk towards him.
“I didn’t know that this hospital also accommodates crazy people like her,” Marco said, making the doctor walk towards him.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Jovanka, but can we talk in another room and for your wife, let our nurses handle her,” the doctor said, making Marco look at Letta, but Letta shook her head.
“I want to go home, I’m scared,” Letta said, making Marco immediately look at the doctor.
“Look at the bruise caused by the strangulation,” Marco said, making the doctor see how the bruise now encircled Letta’s neck.
“You need to be examined immediately. We don’t know the consequences, it will definitely be very painful,” the doctor said, making Marco look back at Letta, but Letta seemed reluctant to stay any longer in the hospital.
“I want to go home, take me home now,” Letta said, looking very pale. Even her hand gripping Marco’s wrist felt cold and trembling.
“I want you to send the best doctor in this hospital to my house. I want to take care of my wife at home because she seems quite shocked to be treated in the same hospital as the madwoman earlier,” Marco said, making the doctor nod.
“Very well, then we will prepare for it. We apologize for our negligence,” the doctor said, making Marco not respond. He immediately embraced Letta and took her away from the hospital. Marco didn’t want to leave Letta in fear in the hospital that almost took her life.
