The Wolf Who hated alphas

Chapter 40 – Forgotten About

Nayssa stormed out. She shouldn’t take it out on Kyria, but it was better to leave the room than say things that would hurt her.

“Nayssa. Come sit down.” Madam Elora said to her daughter in a tone that could not be ignored.

With a sigh and a not happy expression, Nayssa sat down.

The mood of the dining room was great, now she was prepared for afternoon coffee, with the table full of delicious delicacies that Nayssa really did not care.

“Did you score? Scored your omega?” Elora watched her as she drank her tea and soon the answer she already imagined came up with a dry response.

“Why is it important, Mother?”

“So it didn’t happen.” Elora said, frowning.

Nayssa growled, already tired of that conversation.

“You have to finally take responsibility. Nayssa Abiyoe.” Elora said, looking into her eyes. ” You can’t be enjoying life forever. Even Thom has more responsibility than you.”

“Is that what you called me for?” Nayssa screamed, annoyed. ” To compare me to Thomas?”

“No. It was not for that. I called you to warn you that you will lose your omega due to your arrogance. Imagine how that poor girl must be feeling after her alpha doesn’t score there? That’s a great humiliation, Nayssa. Notice how selfish you’re being.” Her mother raised her voice.

“I know all this. But, I can’t!” Yssa replied angrily.

“Can’t you why?” Elora asked, forcing her to answer.

“Because I can’t. I’m not going to take the place you want. Nor be the leader. I don’t want that leader life. If I cling to an omega, I’ll be clinging to that role. “The daughter screamed.

“It’s time for you to wake up, Nayssa. Pranks don’t last forever. You’re already 21. I’m getting old for this job and we need you. Your father trusted you, Nayssa. Don’t dishonor his memory.”

“Am I dishonoring him just because I don’t do what you say, Mother? ” Nayssa asked angrily, rising from the table.

“No, Nayssa. No, for not obeying me. And yes, for dishonoring your own omega out of pure selfishness. That would make you upset.”

And after hearing this, Nayssa left without answering her mother. She returned to the library, but did not see Kyria.

“Hey, Jenny.” She called to see one of the maids. ” Did you see Kyria? The girl who came with me?”

Jenny confirmed with her head.

“Yes, miss. She asked me where the family books were. I told her they were in the library in the secret part of town. Yeah, we were afraid of causing an accident because of our clan’s inventions.”

“What? It was changed. I didn’t know that.” Nayssa exclaimed.

“Well, Miss. Forgive me, but… you’ve never been very interested in clan events. This happened two years ago.”

Nayssa growled, angry, and put her hand on her head.

“All right. Kyria went there? I’m going then. Thank you for informing me.”

—–

Kyria went to the library where the maid had indicated. They were out of time and she needed to do something. Mostly to distract him from what had happened and the anger and shame she was feeling.

She was far from the city, close to a forest and she thanked for it. I would not like to receive prying eyes.

“Don’t be so angry. Sometimes she didn’t mean it.” Shadow, the crow, told her.

“She humiliated me. She used me and dumped me.” Kyria said, hurt. ” What alpha does that? Isn’t that tin?”

“Yes, you’re right. Every alpha brags about scoring an omega. Not even Kallias does that. He marked my master right after the wedding, when they knew they were already one.”

“So, Nayssa isn’t sure what we are. Great.” she muttered.

“We’re here.” said Shadow excited.

The library was huge, much larger than that of the Abiyoe house, she smiled as she entered and greeted the librarian.

She was a lady with a kind and polite smile.

“Hello young lady. What brings our little lady’s omega here?”

Kyria was surprised by the question and, of course, blushed like a bell pepper. After all, it seemed that in a small town like that, the news ran fast. Even if Nayssa had not said anything.

“Nayssa and I are researching her ancestors. Would you have anything? Jenny gave me the key to the secret files.” Kyria said it gently.

“Of course. Come with me.”

Kyria coughed from the dust when she opened the room leading to the Abiyoe session. There seemed to be more books than in the entire library. The young woman worked hard, smiled at the librarian and started working.

Shadow helped her, searching for books and taking some to her. Kyria smiled, not understanding how there could be so much strength in her little claws.

Kyria analyzed several books and this made her happy, because she should be concerned with things more important than Nayssa at the moment.

She and Shadow searched for a few long minutes until they found Iana’s diary. The name had been crossed out and replaced by Imaan.

He had been the youngest and most visionary inventor in the family. An alpha who had been through a lot and even discovered himself as Imaan and not Ianan.

Imaan was at the age of 16 when he began to hear Mother’s call and he accepted, building the largest statue and temple in his honor in his clan. But there was something he didn’t care about that was essential for Goddess. Love.

For Imaan, his inventions and the pursuit of knowledge were the most important of all. Even when his true omega appeared, he rejected it. Leaving her alone and isolated, traded for her inventions.

She died alone, in depression, after all she tried to fulfill her role as omega, Isabel could not force him.

He did not realize that she was ill. Even when she died, Elizabeth was something of his interest or knowledge.

Kyria took a deep breath, drying up the tears. Her hands trembled as she read and she pushed the diary away so as not to wet it. She and Isabel were alike in some way and it affected her more than she should have. The young woman decided to turn the page and read something that Imaan had written.

“Elizabeth was the sun, radiant with her bright, pure smile. Her eyes were like the bluest, clearest sky on a sunny day.

She was the sun, and I’m not even worthy of being the moon. I’m just a gray cloud that covered all of her splendor.

I still remember the day of our wedding, Isabel looked beautiful as a sunflower in her white and flowery dresses and now she has withered. It withered without my seeing it wither. Without my noticing that she was sick.

I remember our wedding day. But, I don’t remember the day of his death. I left my inventions room and she just wasn’t there anymore.

I heard of her death from her sister, Isadora. She slapped me in the face that I dared not fight back.

“The doctor said she died of tuberculosis.” Isadora said softly, but in a tone that could make the man stronger, lower his head. ” But honestly, I think she died of sadness. For getting married and her husband never paying attention to her. Like she’s something broken and unimportant.”

That day I cried, cried until I could not stand it anymore, I looked like a child who had lost a toy. But Elizabeth was not a toy, even though I had treated her as one.

At that moment, I made a decision. The burial had already passed and by my carelessness, I arrived after everything happened. So I knew I made the wrong choice.

Mother had told me that the bond between an omega and alpha was a wolf’s greatest power, that such a connection could heal one another. But I had not heard it and now the consequences had been devastating.

And so, at this moment, I’m pointing the gun at my head. I no longer deserve to live after such disregard for my own clan. You will not read anything on these pages anymore. After all, I will no longer be here to write them.”

Kyria closed the diary in tears, she could think of nothing but that suffering. She left a mark for Nayssa to see that content. However, something unexpected happened. The library exploded.

Kyria heard howls and claws tearing her around. She turned into a redheaded wolf, but was weak against that magical smoke.

Shadow tried to protect her, but she was thrown into the back of the library. A huge wolf-shaped shadow stared at her, throwing her lupine form against the wall, making her become human again. And the only thing she could do was close her eyes.NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
