Chapter 2118

Chapter 2118 Back to Work

Meanwhile, Aurora had already prepared lunch and was waiting for her at home.

Cindy did not see Aurora when she entered, and she couldn't find the woman either when she walked in through the open door to Aurora's room.

Cindy called out to her before she heard Aurora's voice coming from the balcony.

Aurora was gazing at the scenery through the balcony windows.

Cindy walked over and stood next to her. "What are you looking at? Did that man come today?"

Aurora was still gazing outside as she replied, "Nope. I'm just feeling a little bored, so I'm watching the scenery to pass the time."

She sounded a little pitiful when she said that. Cindy smiled. "If you're really bored, you could go downstairs for a walk. Not many people would be outside during the day, so you probably won't get recognized."

Aurora sighed. "It'd be boring to go on walks alone."

That was true. Similarly, Cindy didn't like walking around when she was alone, for she would rather lie on her bed and look at her phone.

After thinking for a bit, she diverted the conversation. "Alright, let's eat. I'm starving, so let's see what we have for lunch."

The two walked in from the balcony and took their seats at the dining table. Aurora then said, "I'll be going to the company later today, and I'm not sure when I'll be back. Don't be too surprised if you don't see me around when you come back at night,"

Cindy looked up at her. "Are you going for a recording?"

After all, Cindy wasn't too sure about the workflow of such things.

Aurora shook her head. "There are still a number of loose ends to tie up in the early stages, so I should make a trip to the company and check them out. I think Hannah would want to have a chat with me as well, so I'll have to discuss things further with her." From NôvelDrama.Org.

Cindy nodded. "Okay, but take care when you're outside. That man might be lying in wait somewhere."

Aurora smiled. "I don't think he's smart enough for that."

Upon hearing Aurora's words, Cindy agreed. "You do have a point."

Both of them ate as they chatted, and the conversation returned to Aurora's career.

Aurora was genuinely passionate about her work; now, she had nothing else except it.

In fact, she was planning to ask Hannah if she had any schedules apart from recording the soundtrack when she met the latter today.

Cindy had already left the company, so she wasn't quite caught up with everything going on there. Hence, she couldn't provide Aurora with much insight.

After lunch, the two rested on the couch for a while before Cindy went back to work.

When she arrived, there were already a number of people in the office. Cindy entered and saw them gossiping.

However, the subject of their gossip this time wasn't her, for someone had seen Mr. Kaufmann and Gary today.

Gary wasn't a stranger to these people, for he often appeared in the finance section of the paper.

Not all of Cindy's colleagues were crazed fans of idols in entertainment, and they would often read news on finance as well.

When Gary was mentioned during the conversation, these people would still gossip about things like his relationship or his net worth.

Meanwhile, Cindy went back to her seat before picking up her pen and paper once again.

Just like before, she pretended not to hear those people talking. However, she couldn't help but recall how Gary had looked like today.

She wondered if he had come to meet Mr. Kaufmann for some business.

When Gary and Mr. Kaufmann left the company, Cindy had only seen them from afar. Gary seemed to be in a fairly good condition, and he looked like he was chatting happily with Mr. Kaufmann.

At that, Cindy stopped her train of thought. It wasn't necessary for her to think about others, and she should focus on her task at hand.

Cindy collected her thoughts and began to ponder about the two designs she had come up with in the morning. If she combined those two designs and tweaked them here and there while adding more creative elements, it would turn out the way she had hoped for.

After finalizing her idea, she proceeded to sketch it out. Cindy's thoughts began to quiet down, and she couldn't catch what the others were saying anymore.
