The Ninth Bride (Samantha and Finley)

Chapter 286

Chapter 286 What For

I can't tell her.

Elias felt awkward. He glanced at Samantha and replica with a sheepish smile, "It doesn't really matter what I said now. What's important is that Finley lets my sister have something to eat. You know me, Samantha. I'm hopeless in the kitchen. My sister can cook, but Finley won't even let her into the dining room. In the end, we still need Ms. Stuart to help.".

Finley said coldly, "Apologize."

Elias sighed. "Finley, you're really..."

"You're not going to do that?"

Upon seeing that Finley was about to leave, Elias quickly grabbed his arm. "Alright, I'll apologize. Will that do?"

Turning back, he awkwardly faced Samantha. "I'm sorry, Samantha. I shouldn't have said anything bad about you. Please forgive me."

Samantha glanced at Finley and noticed his displeased expression. She then said, "Alright, Finley. Since Elias has apologized, you can stop being mad at him."

"No next time," Finley said sternly before leading Samantha away.

Elias sighed in frustration. "So, we're at the point where even joking around isn't allowed anymore? I guess, once a man gets married, all that brotherly bond disappears." After his moment of reflection, he headed to the kitchen as if nothing had happened. "Ms. Stuart..."

In the bedroom, Samantha noticed Finley was still in a bad mood. She asked, "Finley, what's really going on between you and Elias? Did something happen that I don't know about?" Noticing her curiosity, Finley gently patted her head. "Nothing."

"Then why are you so upset with him? He mentioned he said something bad about me. So, are you mad because of what he said?"

"Yes."

Samantha pressed further, "What exactly did he say?"

Finley stared at her intently. "It's better if you don't know."

Samantha pouted. "You said the same thing last time. Now you're saying it again. Finley, don't you realize the more you act like this, the more curious I get?" Finley pulled her into his arms. "You really want to know what he said?"

"Of course."NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Chapter 286 What For

"That day when you came home late, he joked that yould died in a car accident."

Samantha remained silent.

Elias has actually cursed me?

Disgusted, she muttered, "That guy sure knows how to talk.".

Finley, trying to change the subject, said softly, "Alright Sam. Let's stop talking about him. It's getting late. Go take a bath and get some rest." Samantha nodded. "Alright."

After a while, Samantha came out of the bathroom, but Finley was no longer in the room.

She noticed the light on in the study, so she walked over and found him buried in paperwork.

"Are you still working this late?" she asked.

"Tomorrow's the bidding. I need to make sure the documents are in order. You go rest. I'll join you finish and take a shower." Bidding?

Samantha suddenly remembered.

It's happening tomorrow.

Resting her chin on her hands, she asked, "Can I go with you to the bidding tomorrow?"

Finley raised an eyebrow. "What for?"
