Just as Frank and Silverbell arrived, Frank was surprised to overhear Titus chuckling instead of Mobius' voice.

"Eh?"

Silverbell turned toward Frank, while he put a finger on his lips.

Silverbell nodded, and they both dangled outside the window and listened to the voices inside, where Titus was speaking with a hint of anger. "Ms. Quill, Frank Lawrence had at least brought an item to trade, while you came empty-handed... Don't you think you're out of line?"

To Silverbell and Frank's surprise, Ms. Quill was in the room too, snorting. "Hah! Frank Lawrence, you say? Do you really give that scum that much credit? Well, I'm telling you—I'm much smarter, so don't compare me with him!"

"I do agree, in a way."

Titus chuckled coolly again. "You certainly can't compare to him, what with your ego and unscrupulous behavior."

"What did you say?!"

Ms. Quill snapped angrily. "I warned you not to compare me with him! I've had enough of that!"

"Enough of that?"

Frank frowned-who on earth was Ms. Quill?

She clearly knew him and seemed to have a personal vendetta against him too.

However, he had no memory of her-the only Ms. Quill he was acquainted with was Yara Quill, the daughter of the Riverton police commissioner.

That was when Titus suddenly snapped threateningly in the room, "Hand over the spiritron vein and the Celestial Dew, and I will let you walk away! That, or you shall face the consequences!"

Frank was actually shocked.

Both the spiritron vein and the Celestial Dew had actually fallen into the hands of this Ms. Quill? Was it even possible with her limited capabilities?

Even if he could see that the two

military sentries escorting Ms. Quill were strong, Frank still did not expect that she could one-up Mobius and Titus at the same time.

It was simply... odd.

"Frank..."

Silverbell turned toward Frank, who nodded at her.

They assumed a stance, ready to break in through the window at any moment.

"Hmph! Both of them are mine now, and you want them back? Dream on!"

Ms. Quill snorted and bellowed, "Go!"

"You asked for this!"

There were battlecries from both sides as the negotiations fell through and everyone started attacking each other.

It was the perfect opportunity for Frank, who gave Silverbell a look so that she waited outside.

He then moved agilely to the window on the hallway, knocking out a Clear Winds Pavilion apprentice with a shot of pure vigor before entering with a strut.

"Wait..."

Still, he had just stepped inside when he sensed something out of place.

There was a faint sweetness that swirled in the air all over the sixth floor, and it was virtually undetectable.

"Shit!"

Still, Frank soon came to a

realization that the scent had come straight from Mobius' room, where Ms. Quill and Titus' men were fighting. In fact, Frank could hear the crashing of furniture breaking inside that room.

However, he also identified the scent-it was waif balm, a poison that people often mislabeled as fragrance and would not suspect to be anything out of the ordinary.
