Chapter 17
Chapter 17
‘Call an ambulance.‘
A towering figure rushed over like a hurricane, effortlessly scooping her up and sprinting away.
“Mr. Leopold…* Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
She clung to the man’s shirtfront, trying to say something, but her vision darkened and she fainted in
his arms
In the banquet hall all eyes shifted towards them, watching the scene unfold.
“Leopold, where are you going?”
Elowen stomped her foot in frustration, fervently praying that if there was still a baby, this bitch would
miscarry.
After such a violent fall and blood loss, she couldn’t believe the baby could possibly survive.
Amold’s hand tightened around his glass, an indescribable depth of emotion subtly passing through his
eyes.
At the hospital.
Aurelia was unconscious for some time before waking up.
As her eyes fluttered open, Leopold’s handsome, icy countenance gradually came into focus.
She instinctively recoiled, raising her hand to protectively touch her belly, “Is the baby okay?”
Leopold’s eyes were dark with worry.
Thankfully, the children were fine. The blood was due to a cut on her leg from shards of glass.
His children were destined to be stronger than most.
“Do you have any sense of self–preservation? You can even trip while walking?”
If he hadn’t been there today, the consequences would have been unthinkable.
Aurelia felt incredibly wronged, “Someone tripped me. You should check the CCTV and see who it
was.”
Leopold had already sent someone to do just that.
But the hotel’s CCTV had malfunctioned, so nothing was found.
“From now on, you won’t attend company events. After work, you stay at home.
not allow Belle
to go anywhere.”
Aurelia was irked, and slightly angry. It was one thing to dictate how she dressed, but now he wanted
to restrict her personal freedom?
“I’m not your slave, I’m a free person. There’s only one person in this world who poses a threat to the
children, and that’s your fiancée. If you can control her, there will be no problems.”
Recalling the incident, she remembered seeing Elowen. She was sitting nearby, and Aurelia couldn’t
think of anyone else who would stoop so low. Leopold’s expression grew even darker.

He realized that this woman had a rebellious streak. If provoked, she would stand up to him.
“I will handle this, and you must obey my commands.”
His tone was imperiously domineering.
Aurelia clenched her teeth. She thought of her sick younger brother who needed expensive medication
every month and suppressed the urge to argue with Leopold.
But complying with his unreasonable demands was out of the question.
She had already decided once the children were born, she would give them to him without taking a
cent from him. As for the money she borrowed for her brother’s illness, she would find a way to repay
it. Her dignity was paramount.
When Leopold returned to the Stirling mansion, Elowen was waiting for him in the hall.
She was desperate to know Aurelia’s condition.
Leopold had strictly ordered that no information be leaked from the hospital.
“Leopold, is that woman okay?”
Before she could finish her sentence, Leopold strode forward, grabbed her hair, and yanked it, causing
her to scream in pain, “What are you doing? You’re hurting me!”
“If this has anything to do with you, I will call off the engagement immediately. From now on, don’t
show your face in front of me.”
Leopold’s voice was as biting as ice, carrying a chilly warning.

If she wanted to irritate him, he wouldn’t show mercy.
Elowen shivered, the more he cared, the more terified she became.
“Why do you care so much about Aurelia? You’ve never tmated me this way for any other women but
she not short the baby?”
Leopold gripped the back of her neck, his gaze slicing across her face like a koute, “Are you
questioning me? If you want to de, just say the wint and I’ll be more than happy to oblige”
