Chapter 1403
When a maid walked into the room with the honey water, she saw
Calvin’s slender fingers massaging Hanna’s head, and Hanna appeared to be enjoying it.
The maid’s eyes widened in disbelief. She could hardly believe the scene in front of her.
After all, anyone who had worked here for a long time knew that Calvin had no interest in women. It was widely believed that Calvin was secretly committed to a woman and that he had no feelings for other women.
But the woman in Calvin’s heart was Mrs. Youngblood from the Youngblood family. Therefore, there was even speculation among the servants that Calvin might never be with anyone else again.
However, Calvin took a woman back to the villa last night. And now… he was even massaging this woman’s head. It didn’t seem to be what Calvin would do!
Calvin frowned slightly after seeing the maid stunned. He said, “Place the honey water on the bedside table and leave.”
“Yes, sir.” The maid came back to her senses, quickly put down the soup, and left the room.
Calvin took the soup and handed it to Hanna. He said, “Drink this, and it should help alleviate your headache soon.”
Hanna took the bowl, holding it in both hands and sipping the soup. After a few sips of the warm soup, she began to feel a bit more comfortable.
“Yesterday… Thank you for saving me, Hanna said.
“I arrived a little late, or you wouldn’t have suffered,” Calvin said, and his face darkened. “Have they… treated you like that before?”
Hanna wore a melancholic expression and replied, “It’s all in the past. But I didn’t expect that even though I’ve graduated from college for so many years, they could do such things!”
“Yeah, it’s unbelievable. Who do they think they are? Do they think they’re judges?” Calvin’s eyes flashed with displeasure.
From the investigation, he knew that she had been ridiculed and insulted by others in college. But what he had known was just a few words. And last night, he saw the scene in person.
That was why he felt more furious.
“But you saved me yesterday. Besides, Shelly told them who you were and that you were my boyfriend. I guess they dared not do anything to me in the future,” Hanna said.
He looked at her with his dark eyes and asked, “Do you think that’s enough?”
“What?” She was stunned and didn’t understand what he meant.
“Not enough. Far from enough,” Calvin murmured. Looking at Hanna in a daze, the hint of coldness in his eyes disappeared. He said, “Well, just finish the soup. It won’t be effective if it gets cold.”
“Okay,” Hanna quickly finished the soup.
Calvin then said, “The clothes for you are all by the bedside. If you want to take a bath, you can go to the bathroom with everything inside.”
After hearing what he said, Hanna found a pile of clothes beside the bed, from outside to inside. Her face couldn’t help blushing.
But then, after looking down at the clothes she was wearing, her face turned redder.
“Well… My… my clothes…” Even her voice stuttered.
It was because the clothes on her at that moment didn’t belong to her. It was a new nightdress she had never seen before. That meant that after she got drunk last night, someone helped her change clothes.
“Well, I asked someone to change it for you,” Calvin said.
“Someone?”
“It’s not suitable for me to help you change. Of course, I found a maid to change your clothes,” Calvin said.
Hanna breathed a sigh of relief and secretly laughed in her heart, thinking that she had thought too much. Calvin would naturally ask a maid to help her change clothes. After all, that was reasonable and suitable.
“After I got drunk last night, I didn’t say anything inappropriate, right?”
She hesitated for a while and asked.
He inexplicably thought of the kiss last night and said, “No. You didn’t do anything inappropriate.” He thought that since they were in a
relationship, the kiss should be taken for granted.
“Well, I’m going out now. You can come down for breakfast when you’re ready,” Calvin said before leaving the room.
Hanna was left alone in the spacious room.
Only then did Hanna start to look around the unfamiliar room. She realized this room alone was much larger than her tiny apartment.
Hanna was amazed and stumbled up. She picked up the clothes Calvin had prepared for her and found that they were all luxury brands. She estimated that they might be worth over 50 thousand dollars.
It felt like he and she were from two different worlds.
But… even if they were from different worlds, she wanted to get close to him and try her best to make their relationship work. Regardless of the outcome, she would have no regrets as long as she tried.
After taking a shower, Hanna changed her clothes and opened the door. She only saw a long corridor, on both of which were staircases. She chose the stairs closer to her. When she walked downstairs, she saw a maid. The maid said, “Ms. Zimmerman, please follow me.”
Hanna followed the maid to the dining room and saw Calvin sitting at one end of the table, having breakfast elegantly.
The maid pulled the chair on Calvin’s left hand and served breakfast after Hanna took the seat.
While having breakfast, Hanna couldn’t help but glance at Calvin from the corner of her eyes. She felt as if they were a newlywed couple when having breakfast with him.
She thought, “What am I thinking? Calvin hadn’t even fallen in love with me! How come I am thinking about these things?”
Hanna blushed and hurriedly focused on her meal. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
“Take it slow. Be careful in case you get choked,” Calvin said.
“Okay…” she mumbled.
“Besides, what were you thinking about just now? Why did your face turn so red?” Calvin asked.
Hanna almost spat out the porridge in her mouth. She didn’t expect that he had noticed it just now.
“I just… I thought I was staring at you for too long… and I felt embarrassed.” She said it awkwardly, and her face turned redder. She couldn’t admit that she felt like they were a newlywed couple.
“You don’t need to be embarrassed. Since we are dating, you can watch me as long as you want,” Calvin said.
He said it calmly as if he were just talking about an ordinary thing. But it warmed her heart. The embarrassment she felt earlier seemed to be gradually fading away.
Although he looked cold and indifferent, he always gave her a sense of warmth.
Hanna thought, “If he could really fall in love with me, it would surely be a very happy thing.”
