The Alpha Vampire

Chapter 224 The Cat Fight

…Cassidy POV…

The deafening sound of a bullet snapping from a barrel has brought a sting to my ears. It has left the room with nothing but dead silence, with air so thick that it is near impossible to breathe. Have I achieved what I have come to set out?

Well, no.

And it is fucking annoying.

I was mere seconds close to blowing this woman’s brains all over this wall until she managed to slip away from me.

Now, with her standing in the corner, I take my stance; I look at her with only but a smirk on my face. “You are going to pay for that.”

I watch as she stands only but a few inches away from me, with hands by her side; I hear the most hideous laughter coming from her mouth. “Oh, what are you going to do?”

Her eyes seem wild with fire; there is a fury and determination behind them as she starts to close that gap between us. She is going to ram me, and god, she is going to ram hard. But I only ground my feet and wait for him to attempt to make an impact. As she reaches to grab me, I hold her by the arms, and in one swift movement, I smash into his chest, leaving him to fly back into the wall behind her.

She bursts out in anger as she jumps to his feet. “You are going to pay for that.”

She charges like a bull towards me; I slide to the side and push her back into the same wall again. There is a slight crack as I push her deeper against it. There is a moan that rolls over her lips as she snaps her fist towards my cheek, though it does not even come close to making an impact.

Then I pull her body back towards me, my hand tangles in her hair. With utmost brute force, I slam her head straight into the very same wall.

She spins loose and smashes square into my body, driving me back to the center of the room. Then she crashes me into the wall with the tall mirror. The moment I make an impact with it, the mirror cracks into a million pieces and comes crashing down onto me.

“Cassidy!” I hear the voice of Lucas echoes over the laughter of Lenora.

I watch as she slowly comes walking over; I am not on my feet yet; the impact has knocked my breath away.

Then she comes and stands over my body, “Today, you will die.”

I roll away from her and spin back onto my feet. With my feet grounded, I stare at her with eyes that are now starting to fill with anger, “You might as well give up because you will be the one that does the dying today.”

She comes charging at me; I only but laugh at her, “You are making a fateful mistake.”

“The only one making a mistake is you.”

With her words not yet from her lips, she shifts her feet at an incredible pace towards mine and reaches her fist for my face.

The moment that it makes an impact, my head snaps to the left. As I regain myself again, I only but growl in anger, “You are going to regret that.”

I yank her up by the shoulder and toss her body to the other side of the room.

She rises to her feet and reaches me in less than an inch of the second, then she slams her hands around my shoulders and tosses me.

As I rise to my feet again, I slam a fist into her stomach. I am driving her with utmost force. Then I retract my arm and launch it back and land it square in her face. I hear a crack as my knuckles make the impact, then there is pitter-patter as blood comes streaming from her nose, then he drops to the floor.

But the woman is a fool; she comes for me again; as she drops my body to the floor, I fall to my knees. I launch to my feet and slam her body into the pillar of the bed…

There is a crack…then there is a loud cry.

Then, with absolute slow motion, there is the sound of what can only be Lucas; there is the click of a trigger that echoes through to every crack and crevice, to every corner.

What was a scuffle between two women, which I had the upper hand, has now led into a stand-off? And as I scan the room, while I take a gentle spin on my heels, I am faced with Lucas that is showing for me to get to his side.

And as I glance over to my other side, I see Lenora, only now getting a hold of her gun; the woman surely is slow. Now, if someone is going to hit the floor is yet to be seen.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

But next is Lucas’s voice that comes through as a warning, “Now if you do not drop that gun, then you will find yourself where the sun does not shine.”

Yet, she does not seem to take heed of his warning.

So with only but a smirk on his face, he takes his stance and step but two steps back. But as he makes that single step, I see the fear creep into her eyes as Lucas keeps the barrel firmly pointed at her

Now, the question here begs, will Lucas really kill a woman? Well, I have my answer as he slips the Colt that I had from behind his back. Then he rumbles from the top of his voice, “Now, I suggest that you drop your gun while you are still able to walk out of here alive.”

But if I think that would make her back down, she only but raises her gun higher and start to break out in a fit of uncontrollable laughter.

Well, Lucas’s restraint snaps.

With absolute determination to show her of her foolish ways, he steps closer. And with a gentle snap of his finger, it makes direct contact with the trigger. I hear a slight click as a bullet slip from the clip and effortlessly makes its way into the chamber. Then I mere a millisecond; it snaps from the barrel.

In only one BANG, Lenora topples in a heap of mess to the floor.

But wait…bursting through the door is a Vampire that is obviously far too late to come to save her from her fate. I hear the distinct sound of a very gun being loaded; as Lucas spins around, there is another jerk of his hand, as yet another bullet leaves the Colt at inches of a second in great speed. It pierces the soft skin between the Vampire’s brows before he, too, finds his fate on the floor.

Then come bursting through the window with a great shatter, is another Vampire that descends down Lucas as he pushes me behind him. Short on the brave Vampire’s tail, there follow two more Vampires.

Lucas only but laughs from the depths of his chest, “Do you want to join your friend?” They only but stare at him in clear amusement and do not move but a step.

But next, it seems that these brave souls think that it is rather a great idea to charge Lucas. So as they come towards him at great speed, he aims both arms straight forward, and in one…two…three…they both drop together like the two idiots they are.

But we are not in the clear, for there comes the voice of a man that is clearing his throat rather deeply from behind. So once again, Lucas spins around and pushes me to his side.

“Are you seriously going to test my patience tonight?”

The Vampire only growls at him while he is joined by two more Vampires by his side.

Lucas only but smirks as he looks at me and smiles, “Close your ears, my beloved.”

In absolute perfect precision, as a complete one, he drops the fool that was standing in the middle, and not even an inch of a second later, the two on his sides tumble forward, their knees give in as the last ounce of breath leave their bodies.

Completely satisfied that not a single soul is going to come after us, he turns to face me again, “My beloved, I truly beg for your forgiveness, I did not think that this woman…”

I immediately stop him from saying another word and rest my lips softly against his, but just as we get lost in a passionate embrace, there comes a very concerned Dean and Sam rushing through the door.

“Well,” Dean only smiles, “It seems that you are having all the fun without us here.”

And as we all burst out into laughter, there is the worried voice of Damien that comes from behind, “I hate to break up the party, but we have a problem downstairs.”
