Chapter 688
Chapter 688 It's All Your Fault
"Harriet? Why is she here?" Lucia asked.
She hadn't expected to run into Harriet in this place.
"How come she appeared everywhere I went? Lucia murmured.
Eliana's smile vanished almost instantly.
'Long time no see, Eliana." Harriet didn't seem to notice the disgust in Lucia's and Eliana's eyes. She approached them with a strange tone and asked, "Have you been very proud recently?"
"Harriet, I don't think we have anything to talk about," Eliana said, unable to ignore her presence.
Lucia rolled her eyes and commented, "Let's go, Eliana. Seeing such a kind of person makes me sick!"
Then she took Eliana's hand in hers and walked away.
Harriet, on the other hand, wouldn't let them go easily. She took a bold step forward, blocking their path.
"Eliana, you bitch! It's all your fault! You must have criticized the Stone family in front of Maurice and asked him to remove the Stone Group from the theme park project, right?"
Harriet had turned into a shrew.
Maurice kicked the Stone Group out of the theme park project?
Eliana did not expect it, but she refused to let anyone smear her. "Harriet, you must be to blame for the Stone Group's expulsion. It has absolutely nothing to do with me."
Harriet laughed sarcastically.
"Eliana, you have no right to blame me! To be honest, even if Maurice kicked out the Stone Group, he still didn't win! He's going to give the project to Jonathan. And it's all your fault! You should just stay with the White family. You are causing trouble to the Moran family!"
Eliana was dumbfounded.
What was Harriet talking about?
Maurice was going to give Jonathan the theme park project? Was it their deal?
"Shut up!" Lucia yelled. "Harriet, you're a complete loser. What qualifications do you have to squawk? Mr. Moran is willing to give up everything for Eliana, but he refuses to even look at you!"
Lucia's words broke Harriet's heart, and she yelled angrily, "That's because Maurice is too stupid! The Morans are stupid! That's why they like an evil woman like Eliana!"
"Enough!" Eliana had had enough that she poured a glass of wine directly to Harriet.
She would never allow this crazy woman to insult the two families.
"Elians! You bitch! How dare you!"
Harriet raised her hand, ready to slap Eliana across the face.
Eliana was ready to fight back, but before she could, a big hand grabbed Harriet's wrist firmly.
"What are you doing?"
A cold voice came from behind Eliana.
It was Maurice.
He pushed Harriet away and wrapped his arms around Eliana.
"Are you okay?"
Maurice's eyes were worried, and his tone was gentle.
Harriet was wet with wine, looking embarrassed. However, Maurice ignored her completely.
"I'm perfectly fine. She can't hurt me, especially since Lucia is here," Eliana replied, shaking her head.
But Maurice still looked her up and down carefully. After confirming that she was fine, he stared coldly at Harriet. "How dare you come here to aggravate Biana? Do you truly want the Stone Group to go bankrupt?"
Harriet was annoyed by Maurice's overprotectiveness toward Eliana.
"Maurice, you've gone too far! You kicked out the Stone Group for a woman. I'll see if you can still be arrogant after the Universe Group takes away your theme park project!"
Maurice sneered. "The Stone family was kicked out because they cut corners when doing the project. I'm still considering whether or not to collaborate with Jonathan."
"You are lying!" Harriet exclaimed.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
"You'd better go back and ask your mother about the truth," Maurice retorted.
Harriet was furious and left.
"Wait!" Maurice stopped Harriet and said, "Now that you're here, take our wedding invitation card."
Then he winked at Corbin, who had been with him all along. "Corbin, give it to her."
"I won't take it! I won't go to your fucking wedding ceremony!" Harriet exclaimed, gritting her teeth.
"It isn't for you. Why don't you let others go if you don't? Corbin rolled his eyes and stuffed the wedding invitation card into Harriet's hand.
Harriet became even angrier when she saw that it was for her mother.
"Do not forget to give it to her," Maurice added.
"You... Just wait and see!"
Harriet held the wedding invitation card tightly as if she was going to crush it.
The moment she walked out of the restaurant, she swore to herself, "Let's wait and see. I have a number of plans to stop this marriage!"
