Painful seduction

Ryan Chester

The lightening was dim, he sat as his usual spot drinking. Four bottles of Hennessey stood before him, two were opened and the remaining wasn’t opened, he watched the beautiful strip dancers performing paying less attention to what they did. As he watched, He took a sip, looked at his wrist watch and continued his gaze at the strippers. He did those three activities consecutively until he was done with the second bottle. He checked his watch, it was 10:30 pm. He had been in the club for exactly 40 minutes. He wore a frown as someone approached him with a sweet smile.

” You don’t look happy, Mr. Ryan.” She spoke nicely as she pecked him on the lips before taking a seat opposite him. His nostrils caught the fragrance of the perfume she was wearing, he closed his eyes savoring the strawberry flavor he smelt. She watched him with a smile, with his eyes closed, she loved it when he did that. He finally opened his eyes and stared hard at her.

” Two offenses… one for keeping me waiting and the other for calling me Mr. Ryan.”

She laughed heartily and uncorked one of the hennessy bottles.

” Have you called your sister, Cindy?”

” We haven’t spoken for days…maybe months.”

” Are you still upset with her?”

” Upset is a sweeter expression.”

” It’s not right to stay angry at your sister, you know?”

” Coming from someone who doesn’t talk to any member of her family.” He mocked her.

She smiled at him and fetched a pack of cigarettes from her purse, took one stick out and lit it. She didn’t take a smoke from it, Instead she gave it to Ryan.

” Have it…you need it.”.

He took it and smoked from it, taking every puff slowly and gently.

” I will call up Rhea today…”

” You mean your ex-girlfriend?”

” We never dated, I always thought I wasn’t her type. Rhea the only lady with guts. You will like her when you meet her.”

” Don’t be too crazy Ryan…You know she belongs to another now.”

” But it doesn’t stop me from complimenting right?” He asked as he put out the light from the cigarette by dipping it in his drink, he didn’t plan on drinking again nor did he plan on smoking.

” I will be leaving soon. What do you plan on doing for the night?” She asked.

” Nothing more than the usual.”

” Please…. no robbery.” She begged.

He had a smirk on his face and she knew he wasn’t going to listen to her. He looked at the strippers again and continued his gaze at them. He took notice of one, he hadn’t seen her before and he must commend that she looked really beautiful.

“She’s new, so take your eyes off her.”

“I’m not Into her, you’re fond of misjudging my stare.”

” You are no Saint, Ryan.”

They continued watching them dance, after a while Ryan became bored and got up to leave. He was tired and his butt ached since he sat for hours.

He pecked the lady who had been with him the whole time on the cheeks before getting up to leave.

He had no car so he walked the remaining miles home on foot, it was a cold night and he loved it. As dangerous and risky as it was, walking home all alone, he was bold and didn’t flench that he might be robbed.

He walked down the straight lane and made no diversions until he came across an alley, there he heard footsteps but still didn’t flinch at all and after a while the footsteps became much closer that he could feel a person’s breath, he still didn’t turn to look at who it was.

“Did you bring it?” He heard someone ask and that was when he turned around with a sharp look on his face.

” You don’t have to always sneak up on me.”

” You keep recognizing me each time.”

” I own here and I know everyone.”

” How much have you got?”

” Just 5g of the substance.”Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

” That’s a small quantity compared to what we had in mind.”

” Security is more tight. Pay for the 3g, that’s all I can do.”

” I’m not sure the Boss will like this.” The young man answered, his face was dark and covered with a hoodie.

“I will talk to the boss myself, you have no reason to fear.”

He handed over something wrapped in a gift cover, it was so small and it happened fast that one couldn’t tell what it was.

They shook hands and left after payment was made to Ryan, he smiled as he touched each of the notes.

“Inform the Boss that I appreciate it.”

He left afterwards, luckily for him, his house wasn’t so far away again.

Just a few meters away and I will be home, he thought.

His shoes were wet from the puddles on the road he walked on and he found it irritating.

After 10 minutes, he got to a building. For someone who had no job other than selling hard drugs , the house looked too flamboyant for his status. He lived there alone and had not brought any of his female accomplices home. It bore all the memories of his late mother and he was told the house was given to him when he was born by his father. His mother spoke so highly of his father and it was so unfortunate that he never saw who his father was. Few years after the death of his father who he was informed had died in an accident with his wife and his step sisters, his mother died after a few months. Losing both parents in a year was so much for him but before his mother died, she had revealed everything about his father to him and also had told him he was the sole owner of the wealth afterwards. She had written down the names of people and addresses who he was to meet in order to enable him to claim his father’s wealth.

That was how he met Cindy Chester together with her friend Rhea one Friday night at the club, she had no memory of her younger age. It was useless for him since Cindy wasn’t the sole proprietor of the wealth. His quest for Cathy started and he found all the information he needed in two weeks.
