My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2381

Chapter 2381

Just as I turned around to stop them, Jordan threw out an answer apathetically, "Whatever." That single word carried so little weight that it made Anne seem like an insignificant passerby. Maybe that's the case for him but not for me.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

I frantically waved at Quinn and Lucas, "No, he didn't mean that. Well be responsible for what Anne did. I'll be responsible. Leave her alone!" However, Quinn didn't pay attention to me at all. He merely waited for Jordan to speak. When he saw that Jordan didn't react, his countenance turned cold. He picked up his gun and stood. Clenching his teeth, he threatened, "Jordan, I hope you'll be able to bear the consequences of this decision!"

"Let's go!"

Subsequently, he left with Lucas in a fit of rage.

Jordan took no notice of them, which also meant that he wouldn't be protecting Anne. This way, they wouldn't have to worry about being outnumbered while teaching Anne a lesson even if there were only the two of them.

Letting them leave meant that Anne was no longer

safe.

It would be so easy for a gang member to assassinate a person.

I wanted to chase after them, but as soon as I left the dining room, I had already lost sight of their figures.

Those two guys were currently full of resentment. It was very likely that they would be able to find Anne soon. I was so vexed that I roared at Jordan crazily, "Are you mad? Why did you say that? Even if you're unwilling to keep Anne safe, couldn't you just delay them for a while for my sake? You could have said something perfunctory and dismiss them. What you said is going to kill Anne, do you know that?"

"It's none of my business," Jordan was unmoved and he continued to eat as if nothing had happened, "It's hard enough to understand you. I'm not interested in other women."

"You!" I was so infuriated that I was speechless. There was no way of communicating with this person.

With no time to think, I rushed out with my bag and drove directly to the club.

Along the way, I prayed that Quinn and Lucas' driving skills were horrible and that I could arrive before they did.

Even so, the world worked against me as encountered three red lights consecutively. When I arrived at the club, an hour had already passed.

While still in the car, having not reached the entrance yet, I couldn't help extending my neck to look around.

It wasn't opening hours yet. Only a few employees were coming in and out of the door. It seemed like nothing had happened so far.

I didn't have time to consider much. I parked the car across the road and got out to walk over.

On the way, I tried to call Anne but

my calls didn't go through. I didn't know if something had already happened to her or if she had changed her number. I had to go in and confirm it as soon as possible.

The moment I walked to the middle of the road, I saw Anne coming out of the hall, accompanied by Josiah.

I thought he had already left. When did he come back?

But at this point, there was no room

for thoughts. I had to wane? , so I shouted with all m

might, "Anne! Go back, hurry?

Perhaps the distance was too far, Anne heard me and turned to look, but she didn't retreat.

Among the many cars that were parked at the entrance of the club, the doors to one of the cars were suddenly pushed open.

Quinn and Lucas rapidly got out and aimed their guns at the entrance of the club.

"Run! Run!" I yelled and paid no heed to the cars driving by.

Without much delay, multiple gunshots followed one after another.

Bang, bang, bang! Each sound was like a shot to my heart.

Quinn and Lucas opened fire successively. The bullets flew in Anne's direction.

My heart was lodged in my throat. Right away, Josiah stepped in front of Anne and blocked her with his body.
