Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 35 – How Could It Be You?

“She’s young, beautiful, rich, and powerful. In my opinion, only such a perfect woman is worthy of

Nathaniel!”

Although she couldn’t see Ms. Juliana’s face clearly, judging from what people were talking about her,

Winifred couldn’t wait to get to know her.

“Mom! Please calm down! My brother is already engaged with Anastasia. How could he have a

relationship with Ms. Juliana? Besides, I hate the Longfellow family the most! Anastasia is such a good

person. She’s gentle and kind…”

Quintina pouted reluctantly and glanced at the crowd surrounding Janet jealously.

As her brother was Nathaniel Webster, she was always surrounded by people.

But now, she had dressed up and attended the banquet, while no one came to curry favor with her, and

all of the people were surrounding a woman of the Longfellows.

Just thinking about it made her dislike Ms. Juliana even more!

“You know nothing!”

Winifred knocked on Quintina’s head unceremoniously and said, “Anastasia has a disability. How can

she compare to Ms. Juliana from the Longfellow family? Besides, your brother and Anastasia are only

engaged. Our family has not admitted it publicly, nor have we invited anyone else to bear witness to it.

It does not count!”

Winifred was too materialistic. As soon as she had other targets, she suddenly changed her attitude

toward Anastasia.

“If the Lambert family knew that, they would be furious!”

Quintina rubbed her forehead and felt a little aggrieved. She stamped her feet hard in distress.

Although Quintina was usually a little unruly, she was simple-minded and felt that Winifred’s disloyal

behavior was wrong.

“Tsk!” Winifred was very disdainful and said, “If we can get close to the Longfellow family, the Lambert

family will be no threat to us. Young people like you and her have more topics to talk about. Go and

make friends with her!”

As she spoke, Winifred pushed Quintina away, and didn’t care that Quintina was wearing a long dress.

Quintina sta**ered and almost tripped on the hem of her dress. Her face darkened.

“I’m not going! Go by yourself! If my brother finds out that you’re going to separate him from Anastasia

and set him up with a woman from the Longfellow family, he will be mad at you!”

“Hey! How could you be so treacherous!” Winifred rolled up her sleeves and pinched Quintina on her

arm hard. “Your brother’s marriage with Anastasia needs to be delayed! If there were nothing wrong

with her legs, it would be acceptable, but

as she can’t…”

While muttering to herself, Winifred did not care about what Quintina felt at all and dragged her away.

“Ms. Longfellow, I’ve heard a lot about you!”

Before they got to the crowd, Winifred shouted in a high-profile manner. Seeing that no one made way

for her, she could only continue to shout, “I’m the mother of the chairman of the Webster Group! I’ve

long heard that our Webster Group and the Longfellow Group cooperate. It’s good that we can talk

about our relationship together. What do you think?”

Winifred said that out loud. When the others heard the name of the Webster Group, they all made way

for her.

Just as Winifred was proud of her son’s reputation was so great that many people respected her for

him, she saw the face of the “Chairman of the Longfellow Group.”

The smile suddenly froze on her face.

She shouted, “Janet!”

Quintina naturally noticed the woman in front of her, and she said with a piercing voice.

“How could it be you?”

Their scream made Janet frown slightly.

In fact, as soon as Winifred spoke, Janet could tell who was talking there.

Looking at their shocked faces, Janet smiled and said, “Mrs. Webster, do you want to talk to me about

our relationship?”

There was a hint of mockery in Janet’s words. Her question was like a slap hitting Winifred on her face.

“Janet! How could you be Ms. Juliana of the Longfellow family?”

Winifred tried to find an answer from her memory of the three-year marriage between Janet and

Nathaniel.

She was so easy to push and timid. She was a poor clodhopper who didn’t even dare to buy a piece of

jewelry. Furthermore, when Janet married into the Webster family, she met her parents! They were

obviously poor people. How could they be the former chairman of the Longfellow family?

“You’re definitely a fake!”

Winifred pointed at Janet viciously. The more she thought about it, the more she felt that her guess was

reliable. Winifred shouted, “How dare you pretend to be Ms. Juliana of the Longfellow family! Janet,

have you lost your mind?”

Hearing Winifred’s groundless doubt, Janet found it ridiculous and funny.

Janet had not expected to meet Winifred at the auction. However, she did not want to have anything to

do with the Webster family, so she pretended not to know them. Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

She placed a goblet of champagne on the tray carried by the attendant behind her. Her elegant posture

was completely different from her previous submissive attitude..

“Mrs. Webster, I’m afraid you’re joking. I don’t even know you. How could you slender me like that? Is

this the style of the Webster family?”

“Janet, did you lose your memory? I’m your mother!”

Winifred angrily walked up to Janet, violently grabbed her wrist, and forced Janet to look straight into

her eyes.

Thinking of how she had flattered such a woman, she was uncomfortable and humiliated.

Janet lowered her eyes and said in a cold voice, “Everyone knows that Mrs. Longfellow had a car

accident in the early years, and now she is in a vegetative state in a hospital bed. Who do you think

you are?”

With that, Janet swung her hand mercilessly and shook off Winifred’s grasp, causing Winifred to lose

balance and fall to her

knees.
