Chapter 71
Chapter 71
In that heated moment, Yafe stormed over furiously. He raised his hand and slapped Celena across his face. “Leave now! You’re not
welcome here!”
Liam’s declaration had the crowd, eagerly watching the spectacle, pause in surprise. Then, as he claimed to be Celena’s husband, their gazes turned curious and speculative.
Liam!
He was the one behind the Stone family’s disgrace. He was the one who had shamed Celena at their wedding, causing the Stone family to be a laughingstock and their shot at becoming a top-tier family.
However, what the public did not see was the clandestine deal between the Stone and Walker families, a deal that reaped far greater
rewards than any promotion could offer.
Yafe’s slap sent Celena reeling back, a vivid handprint blooming on her cheek, a trickle of blood at her lips. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with sorrow, and whispered, “Dad…”
Yafe’s face looked stern as he glared at Liam, ignoring Celena
completely. “Don’t call me Dad. I have only two children, Qemal and Cheryl. You know full well what we lost because of you. The chaos you caused at Cheryl’s engagement led to the Hughes family breaking it off. Now, you have the nerve to show your face here!” he spat.
Celena rushed forward, tears streaming down her face, as she clutched at her father’s arm, her fingers digging into the fabric of his shirt. “Dad, please! Don’t send me away, please! It’s all my fault. I know I messed up! I can’t bear to leave home. I miss you, I miss Grandpa…” she cried out.
Her tears flowed down, her sorrow palpable. Celena seemed even more heartbreakingly vulnerable them.
Liam watched, his heart aching as he witnessed Celena’s pain. It was his fault that she was suffering so much.
Yafe regarded Celena with an icy detachment, his expression dark and cold. “So, you care about the Stone family? Fine, I’ll give you a chance. Get him to apologize to your brother, and I might forgive you. Then you can come back to the Stone family,” he said indifferently.
His words hit Celena like a bombshell, leaving her face ashen and her
eyes wide with shock.
She shook her head wildly, her hands over her mouth as she sobbed uncontrollably. His request was impossible, and she did not even know where to begin.
Yafe watched her indecision and teary expression with utter disdain.
He snorted derisively. “It seems you can’t decide, or maybe you don’t even want to. Well, I’ll make it easy for you. Your grandpa might have just kicked you out, but I’ll do one better. The thing I regret most is having a daughter who’s disgraced our family. Consider our ties severed. Don’t you dare show your face around us ever again!”
His eyes briefly flashed with a deadly glare at Liam. “As for you, just
wait and see!” He sneered before turning on his heel and storming off. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Sherah Labar watched Celena with a smug look plastered on her face. Yafe had cut ties. The more he despised Celena, the less
chance she had of inheriting anything. The thought filled Sherah with glee.
