Chapter 762 Mom, I Love You

In the evening, when Benjamin and Abbot returned, Camila and Rebecca were cooking in the kitchen.

Camila didn't personally cook a table of dishes for many years. She was busy but delighted to see this

warm scene.

Benjamin and Abbot were talking about the company in the living room with tired expressions on their

faces.

Camila called Benjamin to help her in the kitchen. Then she gave Rebecca a plate of fruit and said, "Go

to be with Abbot. I need to be with my husband."

Camila could not refuse.

Rebecca gripped the plate tightly and walked up to Abbot.

Abbot was sending messages, his head bowed. The collar of his shirt was slightly open.

Rebecca glanced at Abbot and silently pushed the fruit on the table towards him.

Abbot sent a voice message with a frown, "If he's useless, what do I keep him for?"

Abbot threw his phone aside.

He looked up and saw Rebecca.

They looked each other in the eye and didn't know what to say.

Rebecca pushed the plate towards Abbot, who picked a grape and put it into his mouth. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

In the awkward atmosphere, Rebecca rubbed her hand against her black dress.

After a long time, Abbot said in a deep voice, "Thank you."

Rebecca's hand froze and she looked up. "Don't think too much."

Abbot took a tissue and wiped the water off his hand, saying calmly, "You know what happened to me.

If you want to break up..."

Rebecca interrupted him, "Abbot!"

The two of them looked at each other. Rebecca took a deep breath and said, "What do you think of

me?"

Abbot was silent.

Rebecca said, "Do you think I would leave because of poverty?"

Abbot said, "No."

Rebecca asked, "Don't you?"

Abbot played with the tissue in his hand and said, "I really don't."

Rebecca pursed her lips and said in a hoarse voice, "No break-up."

Abbot's hand froze and he looked at Rebecca.

Rebecca's eyes turned red. "Why are you looking at me? I said I wouldn't break up with you."

Abbot's heart was touched. "You don't like money anymore?"

Rebecca clenched her hand. "I like it, but..."

Rebecca calmed herself down and continued, "But it has nothing to do with being with you."

Abbot said, "I'm not rich now."

Rebecca said, "We can earn money together. If we work hard, we won't starve."

Rebecca took out a bank card and stuffed it into Abbot's hand. "I sold my company. Here are 25 million

dollars. Take it. I'll pay off the debt with you."

Abbot gazed at Rebecca's resolute expression and suddenly understood Colin's attachment to Faye.

Afraid that Abbot would return the bank card, Rebecca excuse herself to walk away.

After dinner, Benjamin and Camila tidied up the table. Rebecca received a call from Cecilia.

Cecilia sounded unhappy. "Why don't you go home yet?"

Rebecca stood at the window, hesitating, "I won't go back tonight."

Cecilia asked, "Where are you staying tonight?"

Rebecca said, "My apartment."

Upon hearing Rebecca's guilty tone, Cecilia snorted coldly, "Come on, what did you do behind my

back?"

Looking at her reflection in the glass, Rebecca pressed her head against the glass and said, "Mom, I

brought Abbot's parents to my apartment."

Cecilia remained silent and then hung up the phone without speaking.

Listening to the beep sound, Rebecca let out a long sigh.

A few minutes later, Rebecca's phone vibrated.

It was a message from Cecilia. "You and Abbot live separately at night. Let him sleep on the sofa. Or

his parents will look down upon you."

Seeing the message, Rebecca smiled and texted, "Mom, are you not angry anymore?

Cecilia texted, "What's the use of being angry?"

Rebecca texted, "Mom, I love you."

Cecilia texted, "Stop it. You made the decision yourself. Don't go home to cry in the future."

Rebecca put away her phone and stood at the window, overlooking the night view.

At this moment, the door was pushed open.

Rebecca turned around and saw Abbot standing at the door with his hand on the doorknob.

Rebecca asked, "Do you... want to sleep?"

Abbot nodded and said, "I need a blanket. Do you have any extra blankets?"

Rebecca nodded. "Yes."

Rebecca walked towards the wardrobe and rifled through it, bending her back.

While searching, Rebecca felt a warm hand on her waist.

Rebecca froze.

The next second, she heard Abbot's deep and hoarse voice. "Becca, I want you."

The atmosphere became different.

Rebecca's hands trembled lightly. "Mr. and Mrs. Carter are at home."

Abbot reached into Rebecca's skirt and said, "I'll try to be quiet."

He picked up Rebecca, turned around, and pressed her against the wardrobe panel.

Rebecca wanted to escape.

But Abbot kissed her ear and gently bit her ear, saying something.

Rebecca blushed. "Shut up."

Abbot said in a hoarse voice, "I just learned this."

Rebecca's cheeks and ears turned red. "What did you learn this for?"

Abbot said seriously, "I'm not rich now. I'm afraid if I'm not good in bed, you'll leave me?"

Rebecca bit her lip. "Nonsense. I'm..."

Rebecca wanted to say that it was because her legs went soft, but she was too shy to tell that.

No matter how long Abbot had been studying it, he had indeed learned something.

Rebecca felt that Abbot had changed, but she couldn't tell what the change was.

Later, Abbot took Rebecca into the bathroom to take a shower. Out of the shower room, Rebecca got

into the blanket and lay still.

Abbot held her tightly in his arms and kissed her forehead. "After this thing is resolved, let's get

married."

Rebecca was so tired that she couldn't even open her eyes and responded in a daze, "Hmm."

Abbot got excited. "Really?"

Rebecca rolled over and muttered, "I mean it."

Abbot looked at Rebecca's back, smiling. As he was about to hold her again, his phone rang.

Abbot took his phone and whispered, "Hello Colin."

Colin joked, "Abbot, good for you. I worked overtime at your company but you're sleeping with your girl

at home."

Abbot put on his clothes and tiptoed out of the room. "How's it going?"

Colin said, "You drive over here."

Abbot asked, "Is it done?"

Colin sneered. "Almost done. You need to handle the rest yourself."

Abbot stood up and said, "Wait for me."

Colin reminded him, "Don't let your father know."

Abbot said, "Don't worry."

Abbot walked towards the door.

40minutes later, Abbot appeared at the Carter Group.

Abbot had just entered the conference room when a man in his early fifties crawled over and clutched

his leg, "Abby, we are a family. You can't do this to me."
