Chapter 31
Chapter 31
Vivianna was in the car.
Looking at the scenery outside the window, Vivianna certainly knew that Jessamyn was trying to show off her car. If Augustine's driver had not been waiting for her, Jessamyn would have been gleeful. Vivianna was happy. She thought that Jessamyn was probably furious!
Vivianna felt vindicated. For a vain woman like Jessamyn, the only way to humiliate her was to be richer than her.
"Miss Carlewood, we're heading to Mr. Giltstone's castle now," the driver said calmly
Vivianna took a look at the time. It was almost five o'clock in the afternoon. She nodded and said, "Okay."
The car drove out of the city center and went forward on a wide road. There were almost no vehicles on this road, which seemed to be exclusively paved for Augustine. Sure enough, this road led to Augustine's castle, which was hidden in a forest.
Deep in the forest, huge sharp edges which were gray and white appeared vaguely in the distance, and the castle seemed like a giant creature which was hidden in the depths of the forest.
When the car arrived at the gate of the castle garden, Vivianna was astounded and her eyes were wide. When she saw the gigantic castle at close range, she couldn't help but stare at it for a while. "This man actually owns a castle in a forest not far away from the center of the city?"
How rich would he be to be able to do such a thing?
She gulped nervously, but she felt sad. The richer this man was, the greater his chance was to steal her son from her.
As Vivianna stood at the door, the iron gate opened slowly, as if it was welcoming her. Vivianna exclaimed discreetly while walking through the magnificent gate of the castle. A few marble stairs led into a spacious and luxurious hall. The castle was already grand and spectacular, and the ornaments and interior design of the hall were even more extravagant and dazzling. At this time, a middle-aged man came over and smiled at her. "Miss Carlewood, right?"
"Yes, is Augustine back?" she asked.
"Master Giltstone and the young master are watching a movie in the movie room on the third floor," the housekeeper said.
Vivianna looked at the winding stairs and she walked over without hesitation. Behind her, the housekeeper wanted to say something, but he swallowed them.
Master Giltstone had ordered him not to stop Miss Carlewood, no matter what she wanted.
Vivianna strode to the third floor. It was a floor catered for entertainment. It had a well-equipped gym, a billiards room, and a bar! Finally, she stood in front of a closed door. She thought, "This must be the home cinema." She reached out and pushed the door open.
Augustine was sitting on the dark-colored spacious sofa. However, just as she was about to say something, he signaled for her to be quiet. He then looked down at the little guy in his arms who was fast asleep.
Vivianna immediately felt a sense of jealousy. This little guy couldn't sleep with anyone around except for her. She didn't expect Zephaniah to fall asleep in his arms. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Vivianna walked over and came to their side. Her face was close to her son's tiny face, and she whispered, "Zeph, it's Mommy." After that, she picked up the little guy from Augustine's arms and cradled him as she did when he was a baby.
The little boy pursed his lips and struggled to open his eyes briefly. He seemed to feel his Mommy's presence, but he did not wake up. He continued to sleep.
"Bring him to my room!" Augustine said in a low voice.
In fact, Vivianna wanted to hug her son as he slept. However, it was too dark there, so she didn't want to stay there. She took her son out of the room.
Augustine looked at her slender and petite figure. Although the little guy was only three years old, he was more than a meter tall. Therefore, it was obvious that Vivianna was struggling to hold him.
"I'll do it." Augustine was afraid that she would fall with his son.
Vivianna held her son tightly in her arms and she looked at him with vigilance. "No, you can lead the way."
Augustine walked to the elevator and reached out his hand to press the button. Then, they went up to the fourth floor.
