CHAPTER 5
CHAPTER 5
Summer Frost POV
I was stunned when i walked inside the living room and found Mr. Hunter Ford. Hunter and I were together in Europe. Dad told me that he was his friend’s son, and he had been helpful to me throughout my stay in Europe and made things easy for me. He was also in the medical field, a gynecologist to be
precise.
“Hunter? It’s you?” I called surprisingly as 1 walked over to him and hugged him.
been a while.”
“Yes, it’s been a couple of weeks since we last saw each other, and five days since we talked on the phone last…” He paused and ran his eyes all over my body briefly.
“You’ve been busy with work but it’s really not affecting your body. Come here, come have a seat,” He sat on the couch and patted the space next to him for me to sit with him…
“Don’t worry about me. I’m fine here,” I sat on the couch opposite him, and he nodded.
Dad walked inside from upstairs.
“Dad… You got me curious. I didn’t know it was Hunter who had come to see me. You could’ve told me over the phone, you know?” I whined, and he chuckled softly as he came to sit next to me on the couch.
“Would you have rushed down here if I had told you who it was? Don’t blame me. You were the one who started working as soon as you stepped out of the fight Gosh! I’m glad I didn’t choose this line of career. I would’ve been doomed for the rest of my life,” Dad grunted and waved his hand dismissively.
“How are you, by the way, Hunter? How is my friend? And your mom?” Dad asked him like they had been close for years or something. Oh, he has been friends with Hunter’s Dad for a couple of years according to him, so they were quite close.
“They are fine, Sir,
“I’m glad you came by. Why don’t we eat together? There are a lot of delicacies to try, and trust me, you’ll enjoy them,” Dad made sure he persuaded Hunter to eat, and he eventually gave in.
“Dad… I’ll be back. I’ll shower and join you shortly. Why don’t you go ahead without me first?” I suggested as I stood up to my feet, and Dad nodded.
“Take your time. We will wait for you,” I glanced at Hunter before I walked away.
My feet felt sore as I climbed the staircase, but I eventually made it, anyway.
The thought of Xander crossed my mind as I stood under the shower, but I quickly brushed it off. A man who threw me out in the night without caring if something happened to me was not worth thinking about.
I took my time to shower, and when I was done, I got dressed and left for the dining room. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
“Dad… You didn’t have to wait for me,” I pouted my lips as I walked inside the dining room. Their food was left untouched which meant that they were waiting for me
“I haven’t eaten with my daughter in a while, so it’s fine. Come here…” He patted the chair beside him for me to have a seat, and I walked over to it and

“How has work been?” Hunter asked as soon as I sat down, and I nodded.
“I’ve been pretty busy since I came back, so that should answer your question, hmm?” I dug into my portion of food, and I heard him chuckle briefly
“Yes. It’s pretty exhausting.”
Silence assumed the atmosphere as we all ate, but bad spoke up
“Hunter told me that you two got along pretty well back in Europe, Dad smiled when I looked at him.
“Hunter… Thank you for taking care of my little princess,” He turned to Hunter and said,
“It’s nothing. Sit. It’s fine,”
“So, I was thinking… How about getting to know Hunter more? I’m pretty sure you two will get along even more, and who knows, maybe you two will…
“I already consider Hunter as my friend, Dad. I don’t think there is anything more to….
“What I’m saying is that you should get to know each other so it won’t be awkward when you two get married later,” I almost choked on my food when he
“Get married? What are you talking about, Dad?” My question came out in one breath as my eyes narrowed,
“What do you think, Hunter? My daughter is pretty, talented, and of course a classic lady. Do you think I made a good decision?” I was stunned that he didn’t ask me for my thoughts but instead preferred to hear from Hunter.
“You are right, Mr. Cooper. I think it’s a good idea. Summer and I will make a perfect match in the future,” I gritted my teeth and huffed silently when I saw the look on Hunter’s face. He looked like someone who had just gotten what he wanted.
“Dad… You can’t say that. I mean, you can’t match me with someone just like that. You don’t even know if he has a girlfriend or not. It’s not fair, Dad. What if Hunter said yes because he couldn’t turn you down? You shouldn’t be like this, Dad,” I tried to talk him out of it, but he turned to Hunter and raised his eyebrows questioningly without saying anything.
“You are mistaken, Summer. I’m single, and of course, I think we are a perfect match. Mr. Cooper didn’t do anything wrong by matching us together. I like the idea.” I was even more pissed by Hunter’s reply because why on earth would he think of that?
My phone started to ring and I was glad I finally had an excuse to leave the table and have some breathing space.
“I will take this outside,” I excused myself and walked away.
I was hesitant about answering the call since it was from a strange number, but I eventually answered the call.
“Hello! Who am I on to, please?” I tried to sound as polite as I could even though I wasn’t in a good mood.
“It’s me, Xander. Please let’s talk. I will send you the address,” that I will show up?
His voice sounded fro
