Chapter 0067
After jolting this down, the officer turned to Tobias and Amara was surprised that they still regarded him with respect.
"Was all she said true, Mr. Larsen?"
"Yes, but," He chuckled. "I did not harass her in anyway."
"You-"
"It's not harassment if both parties consent. Don't tell me you never knew that?"
Amara scoffed. "I didn't consent."
"You didn't not consent, if I remember correctly, you even returned the kiss."All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
Amara's face turned beet red and she swore. "You fucking bastard-"
"Okay, okay." The officer who had been listening to their little banter finally spoke up. "We've heard both parties stories and unfortunately, we have to handle this case." He admitted with a sigh, earning a hot glare from Amara. What the hell did he mean by 'unfortunately' and what the fuck was that damn sigh for?!
"Miss, how would you like this case to be handled? We can either punish Mr. Larsen here, by a fine or several days detention."
Although those options weren't too Amara's liking, she still decided to pick the latter option. "Then I choose the detention. And it has to be for three days."
Her words got a reaction out of Tobias. He chuckled, but it was not the happy kind, more like the kind that screamed, 'you bitch, I'll slice your head off if I get the chance'.
"Are you sure?" The officer asked, seeming uncertain.
"Yes."
The officer hesitated a bit before he finally nodded. "If you say so." He jotted something down in his notepad, before turning to the other officer and whispering instructions. "You can leave now, Miss, we'll take care of this." Amara stood up, boldly threw Tobias a middle finger, once again, and walked out.
When she was gone, Tobias turned to face the officers. "How much is the fine?"
"Fifty thousand-" The younger officer tried to answer but immediately received a jab in his rib.
"Sir, the option chooses for you was the detention-"
"So you want to detain me?" Tobias questioned.
"No, no, not at all."
"Then just tell me the f*e."
The older officer hesitated, but a single look from Tobias was all it took for him to relent." It's...it's fifty thousand."
"I'll a hundred, extra fifty for the trouble." Saying this, Tobias reached into his pocket and pulled his phone out. "I'll call my lawyer to come finalize the entire process."
He paused for a second, as if expecting an objecting voice that he knew would never come.
"You're alright with that, right?" He questioned.
The officers both exchanged looks before lowering their heads and nodding.
They couldn't even bring themselves to speak, because they knew in the face of someone as powerful as Tobias, one wrong word or move can mean the end of their careers. And no one wanted that.
An hour later, Tobias walked into the confines of his home. His driver had driven him back and after dismissing him, he went into his room and changed into more comfortable clothing.
"I didn't expect this day to end so weirdly." He muttered, laying back on the bed and closing his eyes, hoping the sleep would ease the irritation that had been piling up
throughout the day.

But it was hard for him to find the peace of mind needed, because, no matter what he did, a certain female was the only thing on his mind.
With a heavy sigh, he peeled his
eyes open and glanced at the empty spot beside him, remembering the times when he would lay there back turned indifferently to Amara while she craved his love, care and attention.
Now she hated him.
"How did things turn out this way?"
He couldn't help but wonder. Why was he suddenly missing her? Why did he crave feeling her skin? Why did he want to feel her warmth? And why, for the life of him, did he miss the way she used to call his name, the way she used to look at him, and the way she used to hold him as if he were the most precious thing in the world.
And the most important question; why did she hate him the way she does?
