Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Chapter 44

Jasmine

I leaned against the wall, my heart aching with pain as I thought about how much I had trusted Noah. I trusted him so much that I didn’t have a single doubt about him. Now, I was stuck between the walls of this dark room, all because of him.

I looked around, trying to see if there was any opening anywhere I could try to escape. There was only one window in the room, and it was slightly kept ajar. I rose to my feet, the pain from Freya’s forceful push still coursing through my veins.

I dragged myself to the window, which was a few feet above my head. I had to stand on my toes before I could push it open. Rays of light filtered through the curtain on the window and into the room. I pulled the curtain down forcefully, tearing it off.

I glanced around again, searching for something to stand on to reach the window, but there was nothing in the room. The only option was to try to climb using the torn curtain. I knew it was risky, and I was at risk of getting injured, but what could be more dangerous than staying in this house with Noah?

I picked up the curtain from the floor, tying a big knot at one end to make it thicker and more solid, before throwing it up to hang it at the window. It took several attempts before it stayed in place. I sighed, pulling down on the curtain to test if it was secure.

I looked at the door, hoping no one would enter while I was trying to escape. Gripping the curtain, I began to climb, placing my feet against the smooth wall for support. It was much harder than I had imagined. The curtain began to shake, and I started to mutter a silent prayer, hoping it would hold until I reached the window.

But my prayer didn’t work.

The curtain fell, and I came tumbling down, hitting the ground hard on my back. My bones seemed to crack as I let out a low cry.

I was in this situation because of my negligence, because I chose to turn a blind eye when the truth was right in front of me. I couldn’t give up yet; I had to save myself, to save Mia and my mates. I picked up the curtain and threw it up, attempting the same process again. This was my only way out of here.

I managed to get up to the window, releasing the curtain and holding on to the window frame. I was contemplating my next move when the door swung open. The shock and fear of seeing Noah made me lose my grip on the window, and I began to tumble down.

Before I could hit the floor, he grabbed me, preventing what could have been a painful fall that might have left me with numb limbs. I held onto him, breathing heavily as I tried to catch my breath.

I looked up at him, and there was that wicked smile. He shook his head and released me, causing me to fall again. I g*****d in pain, but it was better than falling from that height. He had saved me, even though he ended up spoiling it.

“You still haven’t eaten your food,” he said, pushing the plate closer to me on the floor.

“I won’t eat until you tell me why you’ve kept me here. Why are you keeping me against my will?” I shouted at him.

He sat on the floor with me, a soft smile on his face. “You couldn’t keep still, so you went looking for what wasn’t missing, and now you’ve found what you shouldn’t have seen,” he responded. “Until I am done with all I have to do, you’ll keep staying here, Jasmine.”

“Please, just let me go,” I pleaded, grabbing his hand. “I promise I won’t tell anyone about this.” He didn’t seem convinced by my pleas. “Please, let me go, Noah, for the sake of the love you said you had for…”

He cut me off with a loud laugh, placing his other hand on mine and shaking his head. “Teenagers are so gullible, falling for illusions and l**t in the name of love.” He shook his head again, the smile still on his face.

I was confused, unable to understand what he meant by that. “I do not understand you, Noah; what are you saying?” I grumbled.

He moved closer to me, pushing the plate aside. He cupped my face slowly and smiled. “You are just so naive and oblivious to the truth,” he said, clicking his tongue. “You left your mates to hook up with a man in his thirties without realizing it, and you think he is in love with you.” He laughed, leaning closer to me.

Wait, did he just say he was in his thirties? Oh goddess, what the f**k have I gotten myself into.

“There was never love between us, Jasmine. I just wanted to use you for the moment, to satisfy my l**t. But you weren’t even giving me what I wanted, you stingy little thing.” He added, kissing my cheek with his hand already moving around my body.

I pushed him away, rage pulsing through my veins, accompanied by pain. I felt like a fool, lied to, and betrayed by this man. I felt stupid for taking all he said and did as love.

“You are so disgusting!” I shouted, trying my best to hold back tears. “I resent you so much; you should be in the slum!” I yelled.

“Oh, darling,” he said, shaking his head. “You shouldn’t say that to the man you love,” he laughed, clapping his hands. “I just wanted to use you to get to your mates and stupid fathers, and I’m closer now. You can’t ruin it all for me,” he said with a satisfied smile hanging on his lips.

“Why me!” I screamed. “Why am I the baited one in your story? Why not Mia, who is their sister, or anyone else? Why me?” I yelled at him.

He moved closer to me again, keeping a steady cold stare at me.

“I promise it wasn’t intentional at first, honey,” he said, shaking his head mockingly. “But when I found out that they were your mates at the festival, I realized that you were the best option to go with. How sweet would it be to kill them off by using their mate? It felt so perfect of a plan.”Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

My eyes widened in shock. There were a lot of things I didn’t know. I had been deceived and lied to by this man. I thought I was keeping it from him when I first found out that the three brothers were my mates after the Luna festivals, but little did I know that he already knew.

I couldn’t believe my ears.

“Yeah, you knew they were my mates at the Luna festival?” I asked, truly surprised by this piece of information.

He stood up and smiled. “Just remember one thing: Noah knows everything unless he decides not to talk,” he stated, pointing to the window. “You can keep trying to escape, but I promise you’ll always find yourself back in this room.” He added and walked away, locking me in the room again.

My life seemed like a total mess. I had been deceived and taken advantage of by the man I thought loved me. I felt dejected and betrayed.

But if he thinks he has gotten the last laugh, then he has underestimated what’s coming for him.
