Chapter 1378
Even though the whole thing had caused quite a stir, it was mostly just school gossip. As long as Fiona cleared up her relationship with that guy and proved her innocence, everything would blow over. Dr. Meraz wasn't looking to make a big deal out of it either. Hearing this, Nash let out a sigh of relief. They'd been worried Dr. Meraz might come down hard on Fiona, but it seemed like it was going to be okay. If Dr. Meraz had dared to punish Fiona, Nash already had a plan in mind for dealing with him! "Hey, quit hanging around here," Dr. Meraz snapped when he saw Nash and his crew. "What are you doing out of class? Looking for trouble? And you, Nash, always stirring things up. Keep it up, and I'll have to discipline you." "Go ahead, see if I care," Nash shrugged with a cocky grin, exuding a kind of rebellious charm.
Dr. Meraz was momentarily at a loss for words. With Nash's well-off background, any punishment would be like water off a duck's back. The thought only made him more irritable. "Get out of here, all of you! Get back to class."

Outside Mr. Garcia's office, Louise leaned against the hallway wall, clutching a file. She gazed down at the sprawling schoolyard, her eyes cold and calculating. She'd overheard Dr. Meraz inside.
He was just going to let it go? Looked like she'd have to stir the pot herself. With determination, she headed to a secluded corner, pulled out her phone, and dialed a number.
"Hi, Aunt Helen... It's Louise..."
After Dr. Meraz's outburst, Nash and his friends did take off, but not without Fiona. They each took one of her arms, leading her out.
"I told you guys to leave, not Ms. Fiona!" Dr. Meraz shouted, still on edge.
Robert and the others exchanged glances. He hadn't explicitly said so, but they couldn't just leave Fiona there alone. What if Dr. Meraz decided to give her a hard time once they were gone? noveldrama
When Dr. Meraz turned to Fiona, his demeanor softened. "Ms. Fiona, please contact the person in the photo as soon as possible and have them come to the school, okay?"
It was crucial to squash the rumors quickly before they got out of hand. Fiona nodded, "I understand, I'll get in touch right away."
"So, are we good here? We're heading out then." Nash found Dr. Meraz's nagging a bit much and gave Robert a look. They swiftly made their way to the door with Fiona.
Just as they reached it, Mr. Garcia's secretary rushed in, looking rattled: "It's bad, Mr. Garcia! The news about Fiona's gotten out somehow, and now the parents know! They're already calling!"
Dr. Meraz's face went pale, and he shot to his feet. He'd made it clear this was to be kept under wraps. How did the parents find out? Now things were really getting serous.
