Chapter 48: Has She Become Transparent?
The little kindness in his heart was driven away by her song.
Ethan wanted to kick her away in a rage, but at the same time, he was greedy for the touch of her hands as they climbed up his leg.
As a result, he stood beside her and continued to listen to her stories about the past and her complaints about the difficulties of life. But he suddenly turned away, with a complicated look in his eyes when he heard Kylie curse Aiden because he’d mistaken her for Khloe.
Walking out to the terrace, he irritably lit a cigarette and took a deep smoke.
Looking over the thick night, he strolled down memory lane.
Five years ago, he had been back in Seattle to deal with some matters, and to visit her in passing.
Looking at the pizza boxes and snack packaging spread out all over the floor, he had been a little worried, wondering how the girl could live like this.
After he’d cleaned up the garbage and taken a bath, he’d lay down on her bed. The door had suddenly opened, and the corridor’s light had encompassed a girl’s figure.
“Shit, I didn’t pay the electricity bill?” She had switched the light on, but nothing had happened.
Then she took off her wig and little leather skirt, and went into the bathroom to take a bath.
At that time, Ethan had had plenty of time to leave, but he hadn’t. He had been quietly listening to the sound of water flowing in the bathroom, and guessing what she had been doing.
Kylie had not discovered him in the room until she lay down on the bed. Unlike other women, she had not screamed, but looked at the ceiling, and said, faintly: “You didn’t find a penny, right? I can’t even pay the electricity bill.” Her voice had sounded lazy.
In the darkness, Ethan had smiled. After all, no thief would do the cleaning for the person he planned to rob.
“But I can give you some information about a rich man, and in return, you can give me a thousand dollars.”
Ethan had not replied or had not known how to reply.
The rich man that Kylie mentioned was her father, Laurence. Ethan had then smiled very faintly, given her a thousand dollars, and left the house.
Ethan was a man of high vigilance. He had known that Kylie had been stalking him, but he had been unconcerned about that and had led her to his home.
Perhaps, for a moment, he had wanted her to know who he was.
However, he had not been strong enough to give her the best.
But to his surprise, the girl had unexpectedly mistaken him for Aiden, whom she then foolishly pursued for five years…
His deep memories were interrupted by a burning sensation on his fingers.
Ethan threw away the cigarette butt and rubbed his burned fingers.
When he returned to the bathroom and opened the door, he was stunned. Kylie had disappeared.
There was nobody in the toilet and nobody in the bathtub. He had only left for a few minutes, but Kylie had disappeared…
Twisting the corner of his mouth, he followed the wet footprints and found that they suddenly stopped when he reached the bedroom.
But she was not on the bed either!
“Has she become transparent…?” Ethan frowned, and, realizing where she might be, he turned towards the wardrobe.
Sure enough, Kylie was sitting cross-legged in the closet, making a mess of his neat clothes, and clutching at her old-fashioned phone. She seemed to be sending a message.
Ethan questioned her with a chilled face: “What are you doing?”
Kylie ignored him and continued to type.
“Come out of there.” Ethan grabbed her by the waist and dragged her out.
“It’s mine!” Kylie rolled her eyes and seized her phone like a madwoman, acting like she was being robbed.
His face turned dark again. “No one wants to take your cracked phone, just come out.”
“You’re cracked, you’re the whole family is cracked!” Kylie grasped at the clothes above her head and threw them out. “Your clothes are cracked! Ugly!”
“Ugly?” Ethan asked in reply. His shirts were all custom-made by famous Italian masters, yet she dared to say they were ugly.
He raised his eyebrows and stared at her cell phone. “All right, yours looks best. Show me.”
Hearing that, and thinking that he was going to rob her phone, Kylie crazily kicked the man who was approaching her. “Get out! Don’t look! You scum!”
She dared to ask him to get out and call him scum!
Ethan suddenly sneered. He smiled an unprecedented chilled smile, with extraordinary sharp eyes. No one had ever dared to describe him with that word.
How would a man like him, who has been through hundreds and thousands of fights, be unable to handle a girl?
He stretched out his long arms, and grabbed her delicate ankles, pulling and dragging her out of the closet, along with the clothes inside.
“Ah…!” Kylie screamed with her eyes closed.
Ethan reached out to cover her mouth, leaning forward. “Shut up!” Her cry was so miserable that the others might think he had done something to her. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
But what he wanted to do had not yet begun…
She could not scream anymore; she could only stare at him with her two big eyes, her clothes soaking wet. Ethan stood between her legs, suppressing her.
His eyes became as deep as a bottomless hole. Kylie’s waist was thin as if it could easily break. Her long hair hung down, and water kept dropping from it, hitting his cold heart.
All of a sudden, he lifted her up like she was a child, and got her to ride on his waist. The other hand pinched her chin, straightened her head, and he directly kissed her.
It was the first real kiss between them.
There was still the smell of alcohol coming from her mouth, which made Ethan obsessed but also more irritated. If such a young girl had already become addicted to alcohol, he thought he must be stricter with her.
At the thought of that, he bit down hard on her tongue.
Kylie frowned with pain, and murmured “Uncle…”
Ethan smacked her buttocks, breathing deeply. “I don’t have such a big niece!”
She felt pain and suddenly bit his lips.
“Hiss…” Ethan hummed, anger appearing in his dark eyes.
What a fierce woman, biting him to the point of blood. But she didn’t know that man only became more ferocious with the taste of blood.
“Don’t you dare take another bite!” Ethan snapped, warningly.
Her chin was still pinched between his fingers. The two big eyes opened wide and stared at the man’s cold gaze. Scared, she pushed him off with a rush, then licked her lips.
Kylie thought the taste of his mouth was unexpectedly good… She wanted to try again.
Attracted by her adorable movements, Ethan was stiff; his lower abdomen was burning. If her cell phone had not suddenly fallen on the floor, he would immediately have eaten her up.
“It’s mine!” Kylie struggled to pick it up.
“Mine is yours, so yours is surely mine.” Ethan raised his eyebrows evilly, throwing her on the bed, then bending over to pick up the phone.
“Don’t look…” Kylie rolled off the bed and tried to take it back.
A bad smile appeared on his face, “If you can take it back, you can have it.”
Ethan was tall. When she was barefoot, as she was now, Kylie’s head only came up to his chest; she couldn’t reach the phone even if she jumped.
However, she was not stupid. She climbed up onto the bed and threw herself at him from that elevated position. Ethan staggered when she hit him. Luckily, he had sharp eyes and agile hands, so he successfully caught the woman who was about to fall to the ground.
Kylie fell into his arms. Her head sank against him, and she immediately fell asleep.
Ethan’s lips moved slightly. He adjusted her position in his arms and picked up her cell phone with one hand.
The moment the screen lit up, his angular face became startled.
“What’s this?” He asked himself. To his surprise, she had written about her mood…
Ethan, without any shame at all, began to read her mood record.
But when he saw the first entry, his handsome face turned dark again.
