Ethan’s Vengeance of Love

Chapter 91

Chapter 91

Alice had deleted all the texts earlier, so Ethan couldn’t find anything, but she had a few secrets stored in her phone. It wasn’t anything too top secret, yet he could still find something related to her past if he wanted to. She didn’t mind. Aside from Apollo’s information, she didn’t mind whatever he saw. She wouldn’t hide it from him. He wasn’t her enemy nor did they have any conflicts of interest, so he had no reason to hurt her. However, he was a reasonable man. After he went through her call and chat history, he returned her phone to her.

She took the phone, sulking and saying nothing. There was a look of anger on her face, telling Ethan to stay away from her, or else. After all, her phone just got perused. It would be weird if she didn’t show any anger.

Ethan knew she was sulking, and he smiled before asking, “You came to welcome me?”

“Yeah. You went on a business trip to Rythens, didn’t you? The earliest flight from Rythens to Rodcaster lands at three. I thought I could run into you just in time, but you came out earlier,” she answered despite still looking upset.

Alice would usually don her Tanner disguise whenever she had to talk business, so she knew all about international flights. She knew the earliest flight that would come from Rythens, and now it made her look like she Googled that just to welcome Ethan home.

“You know about my flight?” Something in Ethan’s eyes stirred. He came out through the VIP passage. If he had gone with the regular passage, he would have run into her. How did she know I was on that flight? There’s another flight from Rythens at eight.

I did tell her that I would be away for two days, but I never told her about the specifics of my flight. I didn’t tell her to welcome me, and she claims that’s what she’s doing? When she didn’t even care about me two days ago? When she only saw me as an outsider? Now, she says she’s here to welcome

me. I don’t believe her, but then she knew when the first flight would land. Guess she calculated her arrival.

“No. I just came after I saw the scheduled flight. You told me you would come back today. It would either be this flight or the next. I would have waited,” she answered seriously, looking at him. She still sounded a bit miffed, however, telling Ethan she was still mad about her phone being checked.

“Let’s go.” Ethan didn’t know how to cheer a woman up, so her tantrum was thrown for nothing. However, when Ethan turned around, a weird smirk curled his lips. Hmm, that’s logical. She came right when the first flight would land. Perhaps she was worried she might miss me. Well, at least that’s nice on her part.

When Ethan finally came out with Alice, Caleb heaved a sigh of relief. “You’re going to be late for your meeting with Mr. Rivers, sir.” Does that mean the madam came to welcome him? No wonder he looks so happy. Oh, I think I saw a smile. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’ll just get a ride home.” Perfect. He has work to do, so I can excuse myself. My son is waiting for me at the airport. I need to pick him up.

“You’re coming with me.” Ethan held her and pulled her into the car before she could say anything.

What the hell? Alice was flabbergasted. Once again, she wanted to bite Ethan. I want to see my son, not you. Why did you stuff me into your car? You know we’re just a fake couple, so act like one. She wanted to leave, but that was impossible. Ethan didn’t give her a chance to excuse herself and the driver was already revving up the car.

They arrived at their destination, and Ethan took Alice upstairs.

Just when Ethan was about to enter a room, Alice stopped. “This must be important. I shouldn’t go in.” It must be important since he came in a hurry. We’re just a fake couple, so I really don’t want to know

any of his business.

Ethan shot her a conflicted look, but he said nothing. “Go to the lobby and wait for me.”

“Okay…” said Alice weakly. I don’t want to wait for you. I want to see my son.

Once Ethan had gone into the room, Alice plopped down on the couch and looked around. No cameras. She then took out her phone and texted, ‘Are you done eating, sweetie? Just hang on for a moment. I’ll pick you up soon. Don’t run around.’

A while later, Apollo texted, ‘Okay.’

It was just a simple text, but Alice teared up a little. He’s only a child, and yet he’s abandoned at the airport. He’s not even throwing a tantrum. She cursed Ethan quietly. It’s his fault I can’t see my son.

She didn’t want to waste her time waiting for Ethan. She already didn’t have much time for Apollo in the usual days, and now, she wouldn’t let him wait at the airport alone for so long. She texted Ethan, ‘Will this be long? Can I go around for a bit?’

A moment later, Ethan texted, ‘Sure.’ It was curt, but at least she had his permission now.

Alice heaved a sigh of relief and quickly left. She didn’t care if Ethan would be suspicious or anything. All she cared about was that her son was at the airport, and she must pick him up.

Ethan put his phone down and turned to Caleb. He said, “I want you to find out the list of passengers who landed at the airport at three. Every single name. And then find out which one among them is related to Alice.”

“Yes, sir.” He’s still suspecting the madam. He wants to find out the real reason she showed up. It was his job, and he would do as he was told.
