Chapter 1828: If It Can Be Cured, It’s Great
Chapter 1828: If It Can Be Cured, It’s Great
When Yasmeen was feeling rattling and not sure what to do, Michele said with ease, “Well, I was about
to go to the bathroom. But a random rat frightened me. Let’s go grab some breakfast instead.”
Michele didn’t even bother to check Edison’s facial expressions. She grabbed his arm and headed out.
And she slammed the door heavily behind her so Yasmeen wouldn’t miss it.
A rat?
Michele called her a rat!
Yasmeen was a little upset. She was actually glad that Michele was kind enough not to tell Edison she
was here. So she moved on.
Yasmeen put herself together quickly and went on the way to her ward. She ran towards the end of the
hallway and saw Patrick was on the phone. She grabbed Patrick by his hand and walked on.
“Hey, sis. Hold on, I’m on the phone.”
“Where’s mom?”
Yasmeen didn’t know how to deal with Lucas now.
What the heck did she do?
She didn’t stare at Lucas’s penis like a stupid pervert.
She didn’t.
Except that she did. Yasmeen was trying to sort things out in her mind while she was pulling Patrick
away.
Seeing Yasmeen acting this way, Patrick knew he wouldn’t be able to finish his phone call. He let his
sister drag him away and said, “Mom and Kylie were in the office probably discussing your operational
plan. By the way, where’s my future brother-in-law?”
Patrick now directly called Lucas brother-in-law in front of Yasmeen’s face.
Mentioning Lucas, Yasmeen blushed.
She straightly said, “Shut up! Quit nagging like a girl!”
Patrick got a little upset.
Why was wrong with him calling Lucas brother-in-law?
And Yasmeen seemed quite cranky, didn’t she?
Or was her desires not dissatisfied?
Thinking of what he had seen earlier when entering the ward, Patrick added, “Is my brother-in-law
having trouble in the bedroom?”
Yasmeen almost choked on her breath, and her face got even rosier.
“What’s up with the nonsense?”
“You are so cranky in the morning. Wasn’t it because my brother-in-law bad in bed and couldn’t meet
your needs? Mom and I saw you two in bed earlier.”
Yasmeen found Patrick’s blunt speech awkwardly embarrassing.
She wasn’t sure if Lucas was good in bed, but what she did see clearly was his size.
And if that big pack didn’t work, what would?
Yasmeen didn’t think it made any sense.
Her body was feeling so hot right away. Yasmeen got so sweaty even it was still early in the morning.
She thought she was losing her mind and didn’t know what had gotten into her.
“Shut up!”
Yasmeen glared at Patrick with a hint of resentment in her eyes. And to Patrick, that look on his sister’s
face was proof that he was right about Lucas’s bedroom business and now Yasmeen seemed to be
mad from embarrassment.
Patrick couldn't help but feel sorry.
How come a great guy like Lucas wasn’t good in bed?
Patrick was thinking about asking his mother if there were any aphrodisiac drugs to help with that. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
Patrick looked up to Lucas, and he wouldn’t look the other way after finding out he might have issues
like this. He had to do something.
Besides, it had everything to do with his big sister’s lifetime happiness.
Patrick was pondering on it but he knew it wasn’t his place to say anything. He went with Yasmeen and
was dragged to Ashley’s office.
Ashley saw Yasmeen come here by herself, she said with a moody look on, “Why weren’t you resting in
your ward while waiting for your surgery notice? Why are you wandering around?”
“That’s why I am here. I wanted to learn about the operational plan dedicated for me.”
“That’s none of your business. Get out!”
Ashley was quite mad at her daughter now.
As a parent, she hadn’t even said anything about Lucas and Yasmeen getting together. But it was
really embarrassing to catch her daughter in bed with Lucas.
Ashley worried that Yasmeen would get hurt. She would never want that for her daughter.
Yasmeen stayed in silence. But Patrick said carelessly, “Mom, be nicer to Yasmeen. Cut her some
slacks. My big sister’s got enough on her plate.”
“I don’t think so.”
Kylie found the way Ashley was with her children a bit shocking.
Patrick hurriedly added, “She’s got real problems. Lucas got E.D. and Yasmeen has been troubled.
Can you please treat him after Yasmeen’s operation? Bedroom performance is a big deal.”
Yasmeen was shocked by what Partick had said.
Lucas got E.D.?
He was talking nonsense.
Yasmeen kicked Patrick and said, “What the heck is wrong with you?”
However, Patrick thought Yasmeen’s angry look was simply her disguising the disappointment in
Lucas’s performance.
Patrick dodged in fluster and said, “My dear sister, don’t be shy. We are family, and it’s okay to talk
about things like this. Plus our mother is a great doctor, she should be able to cure him.”
“Stop it! You jerk!”
Meanwhile, Yasmeen was about to hit Patrick but was stopped by Ashley.
“Quit messing around. Don’t you care that you will have surgery soon? Now go back to your ward and
rest up.”
Hearing what Ashley said, Yasmeen didn’t say anything back. She gave Patrick an angry stare and left
the office.
Lucas didn’t see Yasmeen after he came out from the bathroom. He figured she must be shy from what
had happened earlier and now she might be hiding in someplace trying to sort things out.
Lucas didn’t know how to handle what had happened just now, either.
But somehow he felt relieved it was Yasmeen. Because he might rip their eyes off if it were someone
else.
The situation was indeed awkward though.
Lucas didn’t rush out to look for Yasmeen. The Military Hospital was well guarded and there shouldn’t
be any problems.
A brief moment later, Lucas headed out from Yasmeen’s ward after having given himself a pep talk and
saw that Ashley was walking towards him.
“Lucas, come on over, we need to talk.”
Lucas was nervous being called on by his future mother-in-law like that. He didn’t say anything but
followed along with Ashley.
Ashley took him to the garden in the back of the hospital. They chose a quiet spot.
Lucas was on his guard looking around.
Was it because the surgery for Yasmeen was too risky?
Was that why Ashley had brought him to this desolate place to chat?
Lucas was anxious.
“Mrs. Bradford, is Yasmeen’s surgery going to be challenging?”
Ashley could see Lucas was truly worried about Yasmeen. She was concerned thinking of what Patrick
had said about Lucas’s incompetence.
That’d make his good looks such waste.
Her daughter would be unhappy if they got married.
Ashley felt bad for Yasmeen.
Ashley hadn’t been happy about Yasmeen pursuing Lucas, and now knowing that he was incompetent,
she resent him even more.
She frowned and found it hard to speak up. But she had to, for her daughter, she said in a low voice, “If
you are sick, it’s better to see a doctor and have it checked out. After Yasmeen’s surgery, come to my
office and I will take a good look at you. If it can be cured, it’s great. If not...”
Ashley didn’t finish what she was about to say. But what she didn’t say spoke more.
Lucas always thought he was a clever dog, so it was surprising he didn’t understand what Ashley was
trying to get at.
She would take a good look at him?
What was there for her to look at?
