Caught Between The twin CEO

Chapter 46

Sydney soon came to realize her mistake which might cost her her job.

She could have thought it through before lifting her hands to smack Paxton, her boss tight and hand on his face but she was angry.

Being angry was not still no excuse for the ought not to take any actions in anger but on the other hand Paxton was wrong. What did he gain by lashing out at her so badly to the extent of uttering her a “gold digger.”

Sydney felt hurt, sad and angry at the same time. She knew he had not been treating Jaxton well but she never had the intention of stealing from him. She knew she was way better than that.

“What does he think of himself , huh? To call me a gold digger. No freaking way I should have tolerated that. But fuck! I slapped my boss.” Sydney uttered as soon as she was save in her apartment.

“Look what you have done now Sydney. Look!” Sydney added as soon as she began to calm down she acknowledged her mistake she should not have slapped her boss.

Tears began to leave her eyes and soon her lashes became wet and her flawless cheek became wet.

She soon heard a knock on the door and inquired “who is there” with her voice already shaking.

Hearing this, Jaxton who was already worried that Sydney had not been returning his calls became more anxious hearing her speak with such a tone.

“Babe! What is wrong?” Jaxton immediately questioned her as soon as he paved his way into her apartment without him even hearing a “come in from her.”

Soon, he pulled her up from where she was crying by her arm and hugged her with his hands around her waist.

Sydney crossed her hands over his neck as she hugged him back still crying profusely.

He allowed her to cry and let out all her pains before he calmly asked what was wrong.

Removing his right hand from her waist, he brought it closer to her face and touched her cheeks softly.

“Stop crying now princess. What is wrong?” Jaxton inquired sweetly with a calm tone.

“It is Paxton.” Sydney uttered fadely.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“What happened to Paxton? Did he hurt my princess?” He added curiosly.

“No. I harmed him instead.” Sydney managed to explain.

“Oh come on now. You can’t even kill a fly. How would you hurt a human?” Jaxton explained.

“We had an argument and this time things got more heated up and I slapped him hard on his cheeks. I didn’t even get to apologize, I stormed off angrily. I’m so scared. I don’t want to lose my job.” Sydney retorted, still weeping.

“Oh my! You shouldn’t have but trust me you are not losing your job, okay? I would explain to him and talk to him. He is my brother after all. But you need to apologize to your boss now and not your boyfriend’s brother.” Jaxton explained to Sydney, trying his best to calm her down.

Soon, he accomplished what he had been trying to for a while now, which was to stop Sydney from weeping.

He turned his head and soon his eyes came in contact with the wall clock which read 10:30pm and he realized it’s late.

“I have to leave now. Take care of yourself and do not cry, at least for my sake.” Saying this, Jaxton left a walm perk on Sydney’s cheek and paved his way out of her apartment.

“I definitely crossed the line this time with…” Paxton was in his head trying to process all that happened the previous day between him and Sydney when he was interrupted.

The voice sounded familiar and so he turned around to see Sydney standing right infront of him. He was shocked and surprised. He did not expect to see Sydney standing before him.

“Good morning. I am here to apologize. I am deeply sorry sir. I shouldn’t have…” Sydney retorted remorsefully before Paxton cut in.

“You do not have too. I should not have crossed my line and spoke to you that way. I should be the one apologizing.” Paxton responded.

Sydney was shocked and amazed that Paxton of all people apologized. She then accepted, left his office and continued her days activity.

For the first time ever, Sydney had no disturbance or cruel treatment from Paxton. He definitely owed her one for speaking to her in such a way the previous day.

She remembered her third day at work when she was still trying to get used to things at her new office and Paxton over burdened her with too many responsibilities.

She hated it at first but soon told herself she had no other damn choice but to obey her boss’s order. With this mindset she aced her task. She also recalled all the intentional mean ways he spoke to her but today she was free. And even when he spoke to her he did it politely.

All was going well for Sydney not until her eyes met with the same girl she fought with at the park. She met her by the hallway all over Paxton and felt like punching her away from him.

She remembered quite vividly how she gave this girl a piece of her mind and taught her a lesson the last time they both met and now she was in her office all over Paxton which caused Sydney to become restless and annoyed.

She felt angry and jealous with this but did not know why. When her eyes met with this girls hands trying to force her hands into Paxton’s muscular arm she felt like walking up to her and dragging her away.

Sydney soon noticed that Paxton was not comfortable with this. She also made up her mind that this girl was shameless.

Sydney still stood from a distance watching these already boiling anger and fury. She also felt sad seeing another girl all over Paxton and still could not identify what it was and why
