Chapter 49
The reason why she was trying to convince Rose not to take the exam was because she had a bad feeling that Rose might do well with the exam. And if rumors that the first young Miss of the Gray family pass one of the best school examinations with just two days of
studying it would elevate Rose's reputation and that is what she is trying to avoid.
Normally if Rose hadn't said she would take the exam, her plan was to spread rumors that Rose was unable to pass the examination and the Gray family had to use their reputation to help her get admitted. It would surely make people view Rose as a dumb and dull student which would ruin her reputation. "If that's your worry, Stepmother, you have nothing to worry about. I will definitely not let you down." Rose assured Beatrice confidently.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
'Of course, I will not let you down. I will make sure to succeed, which is your greatest fear.' she grinned at her own thoughts.
"But-"
"Now that it's confirmed that I will change schools, I will take my leave now. I need to go back to my room and continue studying. Please enjoy the rest of your meal." Rose didn't give Beatrice the chance to say anything as she swiftly interrupted her. She stood up from her seat, gave a small bow to her father before turning to the stairs.
'That Damn brat!' Beatrice cursed as she glared at Rose's back view.
*******Two days later*******
It was Monday morning. The sisters were taken to school in the fancy car that usually drives Sophia to school everyday.
Crystal Lake Academy, one of the best high schools in California. According to the research Rose had done on the school while she was in her room for the past two days. She learned that there were two types of students. Some of the students were enrolled in that school because they studied hard for it, and while they were there to learn more for their future. The rest of the other students were there simply because they came from rich and wealthy families with a lot of money.
Currently, Rose and Sophia belong to the latter.
The drive to the school was quiet as Rose didn't pay much attention to Sophia. She had her headphones on as she listened to her favorite song playlist, while reading a random novel she had brought along with her.
Honestly, Rose hadn't studied for the past two days for the exam. She was just confident that she would pass the exam. And since she would only be taking the school personal examination today, she won't be introduced to her classroom yet. It was only when the results of examination were confirmed that she would be officially a student.
When they got to the school, both sisters got out of the car. Rose was a bit amazed by the structure and how the school building looked. However, she quickly took her off the school building and glanced at Sophia.
"You would be leading me to the headmistress-" Before Rose could finish her sentence, she was suddenly interrupted by Sophia.
"Sister, I apologize I won't be able to take you to the headmistress office because I'm late for a very important class today. I'm sure you can find your way around the school or ask around." Sophia said in a hurried voice. "Wait.... How-" Rose tried to ask what Sophia means by her words. However, Sophia didn't wait for Rose's response before dashing off to her own class leaving Rose standing alone.
Rose just stared at Sophia's disappearing figure with a blank face. "How irresponsible." She mumbled to herself with a small frown on her face.
Sophia was supposed to take her to the headmistress office when they got to the school, however,.she had run away with the excuse that she had a very important class.
Rose chucked slightly to herself. Of course she knew what Sophia was up to. She had purposely ran away because she was trying to make things difficult for her today.
"I would love to ask for directions
but who am supposed to act when there isn't anybody outside." Rose mumbled again as she looked around the empty school. Today is the first day of the school, so there weren't many student's out today because they had all gone to their respective classrooms.
Left with no other choice but to find the headmistress office by herself. Rose began to roam around the school.
Just as she was walking through the hallway of the building, she could hear the voices of the teachers who were teaching their students in the classroom.
Suddenly, Rose came across a classroom which had the door opened and she saw a middle aged man facing the board with his back turned to his students as he wrote something on the board.
Rose stopped in her pace and
started walking towards the
classroom. She finally came to a decision to ask the man who was obviously a teacher for help since she had been walking around for about thirty minutes and was not close to finding the headmistress office. The funniest part was that she didn't know which floor of the building she was on.
The moment Rose entered the classroom, the once quiet and attentive students who were obediently taking notes of what their teacher was writing on the board burst into an uproar when they noticed Rose's presence. "OMG! Who is that beautiful young girl?!"
"Ah! Did a goddess just descend from heaven and grace our class with her presence?"
"Is she a new student here, how come I've never seen her in this school?"
"But she isn't wearing any uniform. Is she here to visit someone? Who is she here to meet?"
Both male and female students in the class began to murmur among each other, their eyes glued on the young girl who had just entered their classroom. They have never seen such a beautiful person like Rose before, not even the top most popular actress in the country could hold a candle to her.
