Chapter 4

Clyde Dante

I really need a coffee. I need a coffee. I need a coffee.

I walked into my favorite cafe across my office and walked straight into the ordering section. I ordered my black coffee and then waited for them to make it. It’s Sunday so it’s so crowded today. As I wait for my coffee, I love to observe people and I just looked at the people inside the cafe until my eyes landed on a girl.

I raised my eyebrows when I realized that this girl looked familiar. My eyes widened when I realized that she’s the girl from yesterday. Yesterday she had black hair with green eyes and today… She has brunette hair with brown eyes. Who is this girl? I decided to walk to her.

“Baby…” I said as I put my hands on her bare shoulder. She turned to me with her eyes widened and I smirked. She remembers me.

“Baby? Is he your boyfriend?” The guy in front of her asked and she turned to him right away.

“Let’s go babe, it’s too crowded here.” I said as I pulled her up so she can stand up.

“Bye, Thomas. Thankyou for letting me sit.” She said sweetly. I held her hand and she digging in her nails again to me. I cursed under my breath and dragged her out quickly. I dragged her into a small alley and pinned her to the wall.

“Who the heck are you?” I asked and looked straight into her eyes. Today she has brown eyes when she had green eyes yesterday.

“It’s kinda fascinating to see a man trying to butt into my business.” She smirked.

“You tried to ruin my best friend’s wedding yesterday and now you’re trying to ruin that man’s life? Who are you and what is your damn job?” I bursted and she pushed me with her index finger on my chest.

“But Jack already got married right? Your bestfriend is safe.” She said. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“You crashed my car to the tree yesterday. I can sue you for that.”

“You’re the one who put me into your car, why are you blaming me?” She said, smirking as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. I was speechless and this was the first time that a girl made me speechless.

“If you didn’t put me into your car, yesterday’s incident will never happen. Besides, Jack is happily married to Carrie right? Why bother butting into my business?” She asked and again.

“So your job is to ruin people’s relationship? Is that what you do?” I asked and she put her hands in my chest. I took this opportunity to take her bag. I opened it and poured everything to the ground. She just chuckled looking at me.

“Daisy?” I said as I read her name on the ID. Wait?! This is not a real ID. I learned this from Josh because he’s a policeman.

“What’s your real name?” I asked as I looked at her again.

“You can’t read?” She asked sarcastically.

“I’m not dumb, this is a fake ID.” I said and she smirked.

“Smart boy.” I took out my phone and called Josh.

“Hey Clyde, what’s up?”

“I need you to arrest someone.” I said and her face fell. I smirked looking at her.

“Where?” Josh asked.

“The small alley beside the cafe that I always go to.” I said and she rolled her eyes.

“Arrest who?” I put Josh in the loudspeaker and this girl just looked at it bored.

“This girl ha…” Before I could finish my sentence, she kicked my hand and kicked my phone to the wall. Very impressive.

“Now you broke my phone after crashing my car. You’re coming with me!” I’m damn pissed now. I held her arm tightly and then took my phone from the ground. I dragged her out from the alley. I took her car keys out and pressed the button to know where her car is.

She kept following me calmly which made me a little bit aware. She will do something, I know that. She kept calm all the time and I heard a sound. I followed the sound and we arrived in front of a black ferrari. I turned to her and she just looked at me bored.

I put her into her car and locked her from the outside. I got into the driver seat and she kept calm until she suddenly electrified me.

“Idiot.” I heard she said before I fainted.

I slowly opened my eyes and got up. I looked around and I’m already sitting in front of my own house. I looked around again and found no one. I looked down and found a small memo attached to my body.

You’re an idiot.

-Daisy

I cursed myself for being this dumb. Curse that woman! I walked into my house and shit! My car is at the office. I took a taxi back to my office. I looked at the cafe from earlier and decided to go there. I asked the owner if I can check the CCTV footage. They let me and I took a picture of that girl. I walked out from the cafe.

“Clyde!” I turned to see Gabe.

“Hey Gabe.” I hugged him briefly and he saw the picture on my phone.

“Who’s that and why is your phone like this?”

“The girl who almost ruined Jack’s wedding.” Gabe raised his eyebrows.

“The girl that I told you.” I said.

“Aaa that girl… the girl who crashed your car?” How can he forgot it? It happened yesterday.

“Yeah.”

“So you found her?”

“I met her again and this time… she electrified me and dropped me in front of my house.”

“Wow… I’m kinda curious with her.” He said as he took my phone.

“He kicked my phone to the wall until it became like this.” I said and Gabe laughed.

“So she crashed your car, broke your phone, dropped your body in front of your house when you fainted, kicked you, punched you… Gosh, I like her already. What’s her name?”

“Her fake ID name is Daisy.” I said.

“Daisy? That’s a cute name even though it’s not her real name.”

“She’s fucking crazy.”

“And why do you care?” Gabe asked and that made me turn to him.

“He almost ruined Jack’s wedding.”

“But she didn’t.” Gabe said the same thing as that girl.
