Alpha’s Predestined Bride

EPISODE 73 Feeing nervous

IN CONNECTICUT

SWIFT FAMILY HOME

Meagan’s heart was suddenly beating so fast that she could feel it in her throat as the chauffeur pulled the car to a stop in front of her parents house. Alpha Carl paid the driver that picked them up at the airport and he also noticed the worried look on Meagan’s face.

“Are you okay?” He asked.

Meagan nodded her head repeatedly. “Yes.. I am fine.. just a little bit nervous. Are you not feeling the same way?” She asked.

Alpha Carl reached for her hand after sliding out of the car. “Why should I be nervous? Because I am meeting your parents for the first time?” He helped her out of the car.

Meagan was worried about her mother’s reaction to the fact that she was about to get married to a wolf and not just an ordinary werewolf but an alpha of a werewolf pack.

Alpha Carl locked their hands. He kissed their hands before smiling at her. “If this is about your parents opinion about werewolves, I am not going to let their disapproval stop me from marrying you. So I want you to feel at ease. Don’t look too tensed up.” He leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead.

“Alright.” She let out a deep breathe.

“We have to prove to everyone that we want this life together irrespective of our different identities.” Alpha Carl Damien smiled.

“You are right. I feel a bit at ease now.” Meagan replied.

And they both turned towards the entrance of the Swift’s home. They bounded up the few steps leading to the door and Meagan pressed the door bell. She exchanged glances with alpha Carl when they both heard a response from inside the house.

The door opened revealing Collins, the last child of the Swift. He had a bright smile on his face. “Oh Meagan! Good to see you!” He opened the door wide for them to walk into the house.

Collins embraced his elder sister as soon as she stepped in with Carl behind her. “I missed you so much!” He chuckled as he let her go.

“I missed you too.” Meagan smiled.

Collins looked up at alpha Carl. “Hi, I am Collins.” He stretched out his hand towards the alpha.

“Carl Damien.” The alpha shook hand with him with a small smile on his face.

“Good to see you. I was told that you are a werewolf.. no.. an alpha.” Collins looked at his sister.

Alpha Carl Damien just simply nodded his head. “Oh! Does that mean-”

“Where is everyone?!” Meagan interrupted her brother in an unusual raised tone before he could utter his next words.

Collins is quite a talker but it is always fun to have him around. At that point, he could go on and on asking series of questions about werewolves because he always like to satisfy his curiosity.

“We are about having lunch.” Collins replied.

Alpha Carl Damien held onto Meagan’s hands as Collins led the way to the dinning section. The Swift house is worthy to be called a beautiful mansion. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

It is Thanksgiving! A day set aside for people to give thanks for what they have. Families and friends get together for a meal which traditionally includes a roast turkey, stuffing potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy and pumpkin pie.

Meagan could hear different voices as they approached the large dinning area. She knew today’s lunch and discussion would be centered around her. And she had prayed that Aunt Julia shouldn’t make it to Thanksgiving today.

Aunt Julie is a nosy woman. She derives joy in preying into other people’s lives. And she is also quick to judge people. If you are doing what Aunt Julie counts as a sin then be prepared to get lectured by her. But her absence would really make things easy for Meagan and she would only have to deal with her parents most especially her mother.

“Meagan is here!” Collins announced.

And everywhere because silent. The whole family that had gathered for this lunch turned their heads towards Meagan and her fiancé. Their eyes was mostly fixed on Alpha Carl Damien.

And he began to feel strange being surrounded by only humans. It has been so long since he has ever been in this kind of situation. The last time he had felt this way was when Madison pestered him to go with her to have dinner with her human friends. Well Madison wanted to show off how amazing and powerful her boyfriend was to her friends just to gain their respect and make them jealous of her. And alpha Carl didn’t have any other choice than to go with her. But this time, it was different. He was meeting his soon to be in-laws.

“Good afternoon everyone.” Meagan greeted as she looked at each of her family members. She couldn’t help feeling nervous when she noticed that all eyes were on her mate.

Mr Swift cleared his throat as he stood up from the chair. Everyone chorused different greetings at Meagan before they began to murmur among each other. It was a full house. The whole family had gathered for this Thanksgiving. This is the only opportunity they have to all be together.

“Good to see you.” Mr Swift grinned happily as he embraced his daughter.

Alpha Carl could make out some of the murmurings from the family members. They probably didn’t know that a werewolf has a keen sense of hearing. Some complimented his good look while someone mentioned something about Meagan being different.

“Why did she choose to marry a wolf this time? Last time, it was a bully.”

Carl heard it clearly but was glad that his mate won’t know if not it would only make things awkward for her.

Mr Swift pulled out of the embrace and went to Carl. “I don’t know much about you but I am happy to welcome you to the family.” He shook hands with alpha Carl.
