Shattered Illusions: Love, Lies, and Redemption

Chapter 771

Lizetta was taken aback, turning her head to check on Thaddeus.

Thaddeus's brow furrowed, seemingly struggling to open his eyes.

"Bro?"

Lizetta hurried to check on Thaddeus, but Mrs. Dashiell grabbed her arm, her voice sharp.

"Lizetta, you're divorced from Remington, and you still have the audacity to let your brother stay in the Dashiell family's hospital! Come with me!" Mrs. Dashiell dragged Lizetta out.

Lizetta's face turned cold, and she pushed her hard.

The floor was slippery, and Mrs. Dashiell, wearing her high heels, slipped and fell with a cry.

Two servants rushed to help, but Lizetta tripped one of them.

In an instant, three people tumbled together.

Lizetta was already holding Thaddeus's hand, calling out with concern.

"Bro? Don't worry, it's okay..."

Before Lizetta could finish, her hair was suddenly yanked, and she was dragged backward.

"Lizetta! You little brat, how dare you lay hands on your elder! You've become too bold! Today, I must teach you a lesson."

Mrs. Dashiell got up, drenched from her fall. Old grievances added to her fury. She yanked Lizetta's hair with a vicious expression.

Lizetta's scalp hurt, unable to break free, and Mrs. Dashiell dragged her out of the room.

"Let go! Wendy Dashiell, if you don't let go right now, I swear you'll regret your actions today!"

Wendy, Mrs. Dashiell's first name, remembered Lizetta as the little orphan girl who depended on the kindness of the Dashiell family. Wendy often flaunted her seniority with Hanna, bossing Lizetta around. Hearing Lizetta daring to call her by her name, she was infuriated and cursed.

"Don't you scare me! What are you worth? If it wasn't for the Dashiell family's charity, you'd have starved on the streets! You're ungrateful, always trying to compete with the Dashiell family's true heiress. And now you dare to act high and mighty in front of me. I'll take you down today, make you kneel before

Shirley, and let you taste the pain of broken legs!"

Lizetta couldn't break free and reached for her phone. Just as she turned it on, a servant snatched it away, smashing it on the ground.

"What are you doing?"

At that moment, Zora came running

with some stuff. The night Lizetta

had her complications, Zora's phone was lost, and someone imitated Zora's voice to call Lizetta. After Remington confirmed Zora had

nothing to do with it, Zora continued

to care for Thaddeus.

But Zora always felt guilty, and now she grabbed Wendy's hair just as fiercely. When the nurses were also alarmed and ran over, Mrs. Dashiell had no choice but to let go of Lizetta, screaming.

"Pull her off!"

Two servants tried to pull Zora away, but Zora, being clever, immediately let go of Mrs. Dashiell and darted to Lizetta's side.

"Ma'am, are you alright?" Zora asked with concern.

"She's no ma'am, she's divorced from Remington, didn't you know? Lizetta, if you had any dignity, you wouldn't use the Dashiell family's resources after your divorce letting them support your leech-like family."

Wendy crossed her arms, her eyes full of disdain.

Lizetta shook her head at Zora, "I'm fine."

She bent down to pick up her fallen phone, giving Wendy a cold smile.
