Chapter 641
"But you remember about the kisses. Was it funny to prank me like that? Do you know how tired I was?" I punched him lightly out of spite. I couldn't imagine how I found the strength to carry him from downstairs to the apartment last night.
Colin allowed me to take out my anger on him docilely. He didn't dodge my rain of fists. Instead, he looked at me dotingly, "I was drunk. I couldn't control my limbs at all. But I wasn't so drunk that I passed out. Come, babe. Let me give you a good kiss."
Good kiss, bad kiss, I couldn't care less. How dare he pull such a cheeky trick on me. Urgh! So he couldn't walk properly, but he knew exactly what was happening. Yet he continued to put all his weight on me last night as I toiled to get him back safely. He had to be doing it on purpose.
"I see it now. You did it on purpose. From now on, we're sleeping in separate rooms for five days. You are not to touch me or I'll kick you out of my bed," I swore vehemently.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Angry, I pushed him away and ignored him. Our separation began now. However, as soon as I slid into my slippers, he hugged me from behind and forbade me from leaving. He explained that he was truly drunk and he couldn't control his limbs.
He didn't plan to make me suffer. He merely enjoyed seeing the look on my face as I did everything to protect him. Then, he begged me to revoke the punishment or he wouldn't let me go.
Who mixed a threat in their begging? Did he think I was a dummy? I told him no and said that if he continued, it would be ten days of separation instead of five. And his punishment would begin now. I warned that if he refused to let go of me, I'd kick him off the bed.
I stood my ground, but Colin still refused to let me go. The situation devolved into a stalemate where no one won.
"Mr. White, there are new messages on your phone. It might be something important from the school. Should I bring it in for you?" Andrew's crisp voice appeared after two courteous knocks.
Colin was startled. I seized the opportunity to bite his wrist. He flinched out of pain, and I managed to flee from his imprisonment. Then, I flashed a smug grin at him as I ran toward the door. He squinted his eyes and made a scary face at me.
Subsequently, he went to the shower with a sulk while I took my clothes and went to Queenie's room to shower. When I was done, Queenie and Andrew were having their moment making breakfast together. Colin was still in the shower.
His phone lay silently on the couch. Recalling that he had received several messages, I unlocked the phone. I thought that if those messages were about work, that'd give me an excuse to ask Colin to hurry up.
As the old adage went, curiosity killed the cat. I was the cat who nearly lost its life. There were five messages, and all of them were from Jasmine-not from school or anyone else.
"Colin, it
