Chapter 527 It Was So Ambiguous

Chapter 527 It Was So Ambiguous

Clarissa suddenly felt like she was nothing compared to Damien. So what if she was an independent

director? She was lucky enough not to have been played like a fool. What was the point of being so

highly educated? She didn’t have the courage to play with fire, unlike Damien.

They soon stopped talking about Howard and Rebecca.

Damien lit a cigarette and said with narrowed eyes. “It’s hard to find another woman as ruthless and

heartless as you. You dropped everything and left without looking back.”

He was probably thinking about the three years Clarissa had spent in Lotharia.

He couldn’t move past it.

“I…” Clarissa couldn’t refute this. “We were talking about Howard. Why has the conversation suddenly

shifted to me?”

“Mommy, you’re not leaving anymore, are you?” Neil suddenly walked into the room.

“No, I’m not. I’m going to stay here with you.” Clarissa pinched his cheeks in delight.

“That’s great! Mommy, let’s go eat.” He started dragging her out. “Mrs. Faber said she isn’t feeling well,

so she won’t be joining us for dinner.”

Clarissa thought, ‘Is Mrs. Faber feeling unwell because of Caleb joining the army, or is it because she

doesn’t want to see me? After all, this all happened because of me.’

At this thought, she lost the appetite to eat as well. After dinner, Neil went back to his room.

Before she could follow him, he had already locked the door.

“Neil, what’s wrong? Aren’t you going to let Mommy in?” she said while knocking on the door.

“No, I’m not! I’m a big boy, and I can’t sleep with you anymore. Mommy, you go sleep with Daddy and

work on building your bond,” Neil said.

Clarissa stood there, feeling awkward.

“Let’s go back to the room.” Damien was reading a book absent-mindedly. “What’s there to be shy

about when we’ve already done the deed? Make full use of the opportunity that Neil’s created for you.”

“I…” She felt that she could be considered a smart person, but why couldn’t she think of anything to

refute Damien’s words?

Perhaps it was because it had snowed, or perhaps it was because she had just showered. Clarissa felt

cold, so she quickly buried herself under the quilt.

Shortly after that, Damien got into bed. He leaned against the bed frame.

“Turn the lights off.” She was sleepy. Now that she had realized how she truly felt about Damien, she

couldn’t stop herself from wanting to be close to him. She snuggled up to him, as if wanting him to

warm her up. Perhaps what Bethany had told her earlier that day had woken her up.

Damien looked down at her for a while before turning the lights off.

Then, he pinned her to the bed, just as he’d done countless times before, and kissed her all over.

He hadn’t had his fill of her earlier.

At first, Clarissa tried to fend him off, but she eventually gave in.

She was burning with desire for him, and she couldn’t care less about anything else. She felt like she

was trapped in a huge whirlpool, unable to break free.

While she hated herself for being like this, she hated Damien even more.

Clarissa raised her fists, wanting to punch him, but he caught her wrists and dragged her down with

him.

Since she was already being so cheap, there was no need to lie to herself. She would be cheap to the

very end.

“What about this time?” Damien asked her when they were done.

“What?” Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“Can I tie you down this time?

“That depends on your abilities!”

“Shouldn’t it depend on yours?”

In the dark, Clarissa could almost hear the sound of his Adam’s apple bobbing and his lips parting. It

was so ambiguous!
